I do hope not -though if she isn't she'll be almost as intolerable as if she is...

I think it was Helen who had the dodgy hips wasn't it? Lizzie was really poorly when born. I had one of those Archers moments tapes years ago which featured it. She had a coupl of ops then was ok till pregnancy knackered her heart valve I think.
Daniel was doagnosed with juvenile athritis but that swiftly disappeared and hasn't been referred to for YEARS.

catinthehat2 · 27/05/2010 23:01

You may well be right. I cannot stand either of them. I prefer the deserving poor and the criminal classes.

mrsgordonfreeman · 27/05/2010 23:09

I only like Linda Snell. I think the other characters are very mean to her.

But, yes, Helen will miscarry. Tis the law of soap.

asmallbunchofflowers · 27/05/2010 23:14

Do we know that Helen used a bona fide clinic? Could it all go a bit Rosemary's baby here?

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 27/05/2010 23:20

Asmallbunch

To be fair I hate the men even more, especially David and the Grundy's, and Bert, and Kenton and, and, and, and, and

I must seek help

PrincessFiorimonde · 27/05/2010 23:22

Oh yes, forgot about Daniel. Don't remember Helen/Brenda and the dodgy hips, though.

Fallon is ok, and also Jolene. Linda (Lynda?) I guess we were all supposed to dislike until she was so nice to Kathy over the rape trial, and then again over Little Oscar. I used to hate Peggy, but now of course feel sorry for her.

(Trying to find a good word for male characters apart from Eddie and Joe. But failing.)

PrincessFiorimonde · 27/05/2010 23:26

Iwas: xpost! But am sad you hate the Grundys. I hate Tony most of all, I think. Maybe Helen will be driven by pregnancy hormones to run him over with a tractor and chuck his body in the drainage system (or whatever those bloody ponds are called).

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 27/05/2010 23:27

I actually heart Linda, especially when Oscar was there.and she does seem to understand the teens and their troubles.

Blindfish · 27/05/2010 23:29

I don'tbelieve Helen'sreally pregnant, when she did the test all we heard was a wierd little sob. I think she's so mad she thinks if she tells everyone she is then by some devine miracle she will be.

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 27/05/2010 23:35

I doubt she's pregnant too, but i wouldn't be suprised if she does something truly awful like abduct one.
As i mentioned earlier Jude and Pip's, maybe??

charlieandlola · 27/05/2010 23:35

I can just imagine Roooth telling Deeayveeed that Hell-In is pg. Let's hope his response is rude disbelief . That is all the character is capable of.

Tolalola · 27/05/2010 23:36

Ugh I can't BEAR the thought of 9 months of Hellin being disgustingly smug and saintly. Fingers crossed that Blindfish and the others who suggested that she's just being completely delusional are right.

I still reckon Brenda could be next in line for an episiotomy exciting event.

JeffVadar · 28/05/2010 10:47

I was convinced that Ian was going to be Helen's baby's father. I'm thinking that she will miscarry so that this can come about (almost vomits at the thought).

vintage · 28/05/2010 10:58

sure to be something going wrong can i just register here i cant sand moaning faced PIP and olivers posh voice is doing my head in grr

seeker · 28/05/2010 13:29

"I don't recall any disabled people in Ambridge ever."

Christopher Carter was born with a cleft lip and/or palate

Bumperlicious · 28/05/2010 13:39

I listen to this sporadically, but can never keep up with who's who and who's related to who. Have you all been listening to it for years?

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/05/2010 14:51

wow seeker - I never knew that about Christophurrrr - now he's a nice boy, a little misguided going out with alice but considering his mother...

OP posts:
PrincessFiorimonde · 28/05/2010 15:03

Gosh, seeker, didn't know that.

Bumperlicious - errm, yes, quite a few years...

Northernlurker · 28/05/2010 16:15

That's right I remember that about Christopher now - Susan was v upset. However it was operated on and has never been referred to since!

iwastooearlytobeayummymummy · 28/05/2010 18:30

Bumper

In my case it is a very serious side effect of being a radio fan, as R4 is almost always on and so I've sort of caught it, like thrush.

It never really goes away, sometimes it flares up and can be very irritating, and at others I can get on with my life and ignore it...
Currently experiencing flare up due to a 2 very irritating characters and their story lines.

But a word from the wise, please think long and hard before trying this 'crack cocaine of soaps' as it is very hard to escape.

Elasticwoman · 28/05/2010 18:40

Seeker - I beat you for extreme old age and sadness. I can remember Clarry and Eddie BEFORE THEY WERE MARRIED!

ADriedFrogForTheBursar · 28/05/2010 18:43

.

Elasticwoman · 28/05/2010 18:46

Sorry I think I missed the point of that, poster with name longer than post.

ADriedFrogForTheBursar · 28/05/2010 18:48

No point, just logging in as TECH can't sort problem out and I can't just 'log in' I have to post. Tis very annoying. Sorry!

ADriedFrogForTheBursar · 28/05/2010 18:49
