Have I been imagining it, or has his accent become far stronger in the last 3-4 months when he's been on?
I didn't know if it was that he'd been working elsewhere and had (through company) been exercising the accent much more, and forgot on return to Ambridge or just me finding it more and more difficult to make out what he was saying at times...
... or if it had some 'reason' - as in something deliberate to make him the more awkward when they brought the new roundsman in.
Also, while on speech and actors and so on...
Anyone else notice {or again, is it me,} that "Jude" could be "Kenton". I have not bothered to check, so apologies if same actor is playing both parts, in run up to Kenton being killed in the collapse of this new bar, but there was a recent pub scene where "Jude" and Pip were talking. It started off in a way (him saying something about "in a week you'll be in the surf") that made me think it was Kenton being his usual chatty, cheery, self... until she had to explain how she would not be going.
