He sang surprisingly well for a milkman, not so surprising for an actor.

The question is, will it be the way to Fallon's heart?

heronsfly · 02/04/2010 22:07

I keep replaying it on the ipod.

LauraIngallsWilder · 03/04/2010 00:00

Who would have guessed Jazzer could sing?

I thought it was fab

Earthymama · 03/04/2010 00:06

I think that this can only lead to true love and a career as a Singing Duo, with the single released for Children in Need!

I loved it and even rang DP with the news.

Milkmen are famously musical, well, ours used to whistle at an unfeasibly early hour when I was little

LauraIngallsWilder · 03/04/2010 00:13

Elasticwoman - why assume that a milkman would be any less able to sing than a solicitor, a teacher or a any other profession?

I bet there are loads of actors who cant sing!

meltedmarsbars · 03/04/2010 10:06

Better version than the Corries, anyway!

He was the singer in Ed's band years ago, but they had to dump him as he kept forgetting the words, due to brain damage from taking a drug called "K"(?)

It was a great "April Fool" on the audience.

Ketamine

and yes, it was lovely -I love a Scottish folk song

Have I been imagining it, or has his accent become far stronger in the last 3-4 months when he's been on?

I didn't know if it was that he'd been working elsewhere and had (through company) been exercising the accent much more, and forgot on return to Ambridge or just me finding it more and more difficult to make out what he was saying at times...

... or if it had some 'reason' - as in something deliberate to make him the more awkward when they brought the new roundsman in.

Also, while on speech and actors and so on...

Anyone else notice {or again, is it me,} that "Jude" could be "Kenton". I have not bothered to check, so apologies if same actor is playing both parts, in run up to Kenton being killed in the collapse of this new bar, but there was a recent pub scene where "Jude" and Pip were talking. It started off in a way (him saying something about "in a week you'll be in the surf") that made me think it was Kenton being his usual chatty, cheery, self... until she had to explain how she would not be going.

HumphreyCobbler · 12/04/2010 09:20

YES, he does sound just like Kenton.

Jazzer was a good singer, didn't sound like an actor singing to me, but like a proper folkie. A lovely naturally produced voice.

choccyp1g · 12/04/2010 21:34

I thought Jude sounded just like Kenton too.
