Just wondering, since I spent less time last week listening to R4, whether others have heard any / some / no promotion for the show called "Click On" (Monday 29.03.10 at 16:20 link to listen here) ?
I ask because the series is about computers and seems to hardly ever get any mention. I sometimes listen on a Monday afternoon 'just in case' - OK, I know I am using the net at the moment to post this comment, but I don't look at the front page for R4 programme information every day, and even if I did, I might miss something of interest...
Anyway - main reason for mentioning it was that they included a piece about the 'panic button' on Bebo (but not FaceBook at present).
Off at a tangent...
A year or two back, they had a series about online / text message Bullying, but they first broadcast the series at 11:00 on some weekday, perhaps a Tuesday or Wednesday. They repeated the 3 shows during the summer, when Parliament was in recess, so the broadcasts went out at 23:30 each night..
Of all the series where parents might have wanted to listen with a teenager, or pre-teen, so they could discuss the issues and whether it may have happened / that they need to discuss it if it does happen, this would have been one such example. Could they have scheduled it for Saturdays or Sundays (remember there was a slot aimed at younger listeners at 7:15pm back then)... of course.
Are R4 schedulers dumb in the extreme ? I often think so!
