The best thing ever. We love them in our house. Anyone else?

This morning with our porridge we had a story, a rhyme, silly songs and noises to guess. What more could you want?

Anyone?

Podcasts, fine idea.

Having it scheduled for 5am on Radio 7 (and 6am on Sundays - lol that kids will sleep an extra hour just because it's Sunday) - BAD idea.

I usually have Radio 7 on at night due to insomnia. Quite often, just as I'm drifting back off to sleep again the feckin Cbeebies theme tune jolts me awake - aaargh. It's completely mad programming.

Sorry - don't have any comment re the actual programmes themselves - DD watches Cbeebies on telly at pretty much every opportunity, so we don't have an extra need for the radio version! I can imagine though that they might be a useful diversion if you weren't somewhere you could see the telly, or didn't want it on.

its on radio 7 I take it? When>?

I love it in the mornings as I am not a morning person and can't hold aconversation properly for at least half an hour after waking.
So DD's and I have breakfast/coffee with cbeebies radio on, which means they eat as well as listening, instead of staring slackjawed at the telly, and I don't have to interact until a more sensible hour. Bliss.

Stealth - hmm that's odd, just checked the schedule and it's been moved from a 5am start to a 6am start. So 6am-8am every day. Must be recent, unless I've been suffering half-awake delusions

That's GOOD though, I don't mind it being 6am, I can just switch over to the Today programme and wake up gently.

We do CBeebies breakfast too, only it's the slackjawed TV version

CiderIUpAndSetIFree · 14/02/2010 16:34

Oh and yes it is BBC 7, though you can listen directly from the website, or do the podcast thing

EssenceOfJack · 14/02/2010 16:35

At teh weekend I am fine with the slackjawed tv but DD1 will not get dressed with the tv on in case she misses a microsecond so we have radio, and if breakfast is finished and they are both dressed by the goodbye song then they get real telly
