I've got tickets to go to the recording of the News Quiz and wanted to pick some brains please .

How early do we actually need to get there - is there likely to be queueing?

How long will the whole thing take on average (need to work out when we might eat, and how long I need babaysitting for)?

How likely is it that we won't get in (as they send out more tickets than they have spaces for as people don't turn up)?

Are there any unwritten rules I need to know about, so as not to embarass myself in public ?

I don't get out much as you can probably tell , so thanks in advance.

We went to see the News Quiz a while ago - maybe 5 years or so. Alan Coren and Simon Hoggart were still around. Memory a bit hazy - I don't remember getting there very early - maybe 30 minutes or so before the start. Kirsty Wark was on the panel that day and held the door open for me as we were going in. Don't think there are any unwritten rules. Can't remember exactly how long it lasted - maybe an hour in total - but I know it wasn't too late a finish. Sorry not to be more precise. Let us know when you are going and will listen out in case you do embarrass yourself.

LOL it's more likely to be DH embarrasing me as he has quite a raucous carrying laugh .

went last night, so will be on air tonight . Sandi Toksvig was very very funny - told a really filthy joke about being in a Bangkok bar which won't make it through the editing process . Good night out.
