yep she is hateful. i sincerely hope she and alistair go bankrupt, except that means i'll have to listen to even more of them.

she's just soooo sanctimonious... abdout alan and usha...and so holier than thou... how dare she!!! it seems like she's sooo conveniantly forgotten about her tryst with richard!!!! no wonder usha hates her guts!!! i say we have a cat fight usha vs shula a la alexis and krystal... if anyone remembers that far back!!!!

There's something about those siblings - they're all such bloody martyrs. Shula starts every sentence with a deep intake of breath as if she is doing her very best to hold body and spirit together in the face of really quite unreasonable challenges (it's usually something like Alistair has forgotten to take Daniel to cubs); David is constantly decrying situations and giving a kind of Daily Mail "Tch - can you believe it?" at the end of every exchange; Elizabeth is just gloriously insensitive and acts as if being married to a very rich man and living in a stately home makes her a victim in some way. Kenton isn't a martyr, just a bit of a tit. Honestly, I don't think Jill and Phil did a very good job with any of them. Desperately dreary people - I only turn it on now if I think there is going to be a good Brian storyline - he's fantastic value.

Oi! Lay off Shula! She can't help the stupid lines / storylines they give her these days. Time was when she was believeable and - even- quite funny at times. Her dalliance with Nigel before the dreary Mark and the even drearier Alistair a case in point.

Her long-standing friendship with Caroline used to be a regular, and enjoyable, feature, revealing many facets of both characters in a way that the forced 'friendship' of Ruth and Usha never does.

I can't remember when she 'got' religion - though I think this is overplayed - but I think she is quite brave to voice sincere thoughts / beliefs in the face of some hostility.It would be easier just to be shallow.

If anyone's on the sanctimonious bandwagon, I reckon it's Usha. And Alan's just wet!

....I for one shall not lay off Shula.

Her snooty intolerance is both irritating and dull.

...by contrast, I think Kenton has become a much more sympathetic character in recent times, on occasion even quite entertaining.

Mind you, the rivalry twixt Usha and Annabel is pretty dreary and unflattering too...

So to hell with the both of 'em!

Poor old Alan. Why does he get called 'wet'? He is just pleasant and caring and.... and..... ok he is a bit wet.

Shula doesn't irritate me too much but I have just spent ages searching to see if the actor who plays Usha also does the voice for Jelly (of Jelly and Jackson in Storymakers). She doesn't but her voice irritates me so much.

Are there really CoE worshippers out there who would have such an issue with the Vicar having a statue of a Hindu god on his mantlepiece? How on earth can people be so intolerant and judgemental.

LOL lalalonglegs - it's precisely that shuddery intake of breath that annoys me so much. She's always been a sanctimonious old witch. The way she acts you'd think that Usha had an affair with her partner rather than the other way round.

But where is Caroline? Has she got some big part in a West End play or something? She hasn't been in it for ages.

But then, I had to endure the MARMALADE episode. Don't think I have yet recovered from the not funny comedy of it.
