R4 I LOVE!

I should love AC too shouldn't I?? He is/was the great man of radio after all.

I just glaze over like a Cristmas ham when he comes on. It just happened again!

Oh I love him! Have just bought the "best of" book for DH's Christmas present.

mumjoanne · 24/12/2008 18:44

well he's not going to be producing any new stuff is he!

TsarHumbug · 24/12/2008 18:53

Nope.. I guess there won't be any more.

I don't know Ponders, I sort of drifted off. It was on about half an hour ago. I should like him, but it's the voice...

He does have a very sooooothing kind of voice, tis true, tsar

I think the old ones, when he was younger, are a bit more energetic (& the latest ones had that awful gargling breathing in them ) He did tell some wonderful stories though.

Ponders · 24/12/2008 18:58

It was 2001, after 9/11 - just looked it up - that was quite a late one.

TsarHumbug · 24/12/2008 19:01

Oh dear. Should have been concentrating.

See, I would normally find that of interest, but as soon as I hear him I lose interest

Thinking about it a bit more, I think he is an acquired taste. I used to love the way the stories rambled on but the threads always seemed to come together at the end.
