Anyone else remember Dr Who in Dixon of Dock Green on R4?

I was just listening to it and remembered that David Tennant used to play Andy Crawford a couple of years back before he became a Time Lord.

I was thinking the same! When did they change? I thought there was a bit of an overlap. Today's ep was a repeat, I think.

Oh my God! I remember DoDG.

Oh, never realised it was him. Some voices on radio are unmistakeable, but Tennant's is mutable.

I'd forgotten all about DT as Andy until they listed the actors before this morning's episode.

I do think DT has a memorable radio voice though. I've got some audio books of him reading Dr Who and they are sublime.

But is he using his doctor voice in the audio books? I missed DoDG today, and can't remember which accent it was even!

In the Dr Who cd he narrates in his own scottish accent and goes into character for The Doctor, does a cockney accent for Rose and does various character voices throughout. It's great
