Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you would love to attend Pip's wedding with Natasha and the starry twins, or other unusual views.

Spoilers: not on this thread, please! Goodness, Exit! I imagine that pneumonia with a broken neck is a dreadful combination. I hope you have recovered from your Archers’ dreams/nightmares.

Apologies if I upset people by suggesting that Pip and Stella are over the hill. It must just be the way Pip acts.

It’s a shame that Stella no longer works with Brian, though understandable. I enjoy scenes involving the pair of them (I suspect the actors are friends in real life).

I had to keep reminding myself who Hannah was each time she spoke in the most recent episode. I’d quite forgotten that she lived with Stella (and I suspect that some of the SWs had too)!

Exactly this. Leaving the family farm to someone who doesn’t actually like the family must surely now be giving David pause for thought.

I'd never slag off my own sibling, not even within the family.
I think the worst I've said is 'that's siblings for you' .
It doesn't work the other way round though.

Thank you all. I’m home alone. Fabulous friends looked after my dog whilst I was in but I’m fine with a neck brace (now it’s been fitted properly 🙄) and taking things slowly. Bit pissed off but 🤷‍♀️. R4 was an absolute godsend whilst I was in hospital.

By Gosh that episode with Lizzy and Freddie and Vince was a shocker. What on Earth business has Vince got deciding whether the hereditary owner of LL gets to own and run it. Hereditary systems are pretty stupid but LL is entirely bound up with it so no point whatsoever saying he’s “not ready”. People have been ruling England as teenagers under the same system.

Can’t help but feel Freddie is finally going to be squaring up for a showdown with mummy dearest and uncle Vince. Maybe that’ll prove he’s ready when he locks them in the oubliette.

They all are keen for a future in farming but one's an Archer, one's a Grundy and one is 'the kid who had cancer'.

Succession.

I couldn't work out what was going on. Khalil lacks resilience. That episode was a complete waste of time. Only good bit was an army of listeners hoping Freddie would say 'knickers'.

Freddie sounds more and more like Bertie Wooster...I know that there are some on here that like him, but he often seems to me like he's in possession of about 2 brain cells.

I don't like Freddie, I love him.

mmm I think Freddie may have the intelligence of Bertie Wooster but I think he lacks his good heartedness

I think Freddie is being set up as the successor to Nigel in every way, including personality and ( lack of) intelligence. Nigel was dim but lovely, I don't think Freddie is lovely at the moment, but I think he'll be turned that way by the SW.

Vince needs to take his nose out of the business of the succession of LL. I wish Elizabeth didn't kowtow to him all the time. She runs LL so should know whether Freddie is suited to inherit now, not yobby Vince.

Somehow Keira needs to be disappeared. Her voice is so incredibly annoying and she sounds about 10, not 16. Khalil can be put in the bin too, such an arrogant and entitled teenager.

The wedding sounds appalling, so very far from "classy"( which by using that word we knew it wouldn't be). I can't remember if Pip and Josh had reconciled before he went away, but I don't know why anyone is surprised he's not coming to the wedding after what happened.

I hope he's found a woman who is the nth generation of incredibly successful south American farmers, over the next few years she inherits loads of money, they come back to Ambridge, buy a massive farm and land in the area, decades of sibling rivalry with Pip to ensue.

Of course he's lovely, he's just not as lovely as Nigel. Nobody could be.

Lily is even more horrid than Elizabeth.

We don't see Freddie in any situations that show his abilities. They would probably make boring radio. He doesn't have the makings to run LL? Give him fecking job there.

Keira is a piece of work in the making, a proper drama queen.

Did Freddie actually say “pah”? 😂
