All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd love to administer Bert's mucus medicine, or other unusual views.

Jazzer & Ed were great. Kenton is a knob. Jolene double-plus-knob given her (pointed out by Joy). Joy's whole speech great if not a) coming from her and b) the subject of the discussion being in her 40s

I can understand Kenton and Jolene being discombobulated, but they know no-on else knows what is happening inside a relationship. They aren't 10 year olds who have never been in a relationship that was once close and was then over.

Hooray for Fallon having supportive friends. And for horrible Harrison having ditto, but off-air would be best fro that.

Did Fallon mention the potential LL job to Jolene back when Elizabeth first raised it months ago?

If she did, she did it silently, given none of us had ever heard a peep about it until Elizabeth started badgering Fallon to accept this so called job. Now we find out it's part-time. How is Fallon going to pay her share of the mortgage?

Well I assume the house-share is temporary and at some point either they're going to have to sell up or one of them will buy out the other.

Jolene and Kenton really are made for each other. And I don't mean that in a nice way.

I may be proved wrong but the whole job offer sounds wrong for Fallon, especially at this time. She's said herself before that all she ever wanted to do from a young age was to be a chef, it does not sound as if the new job will involve a lot of cooking? Plus, it all sounds rather airy fairy and insecure.

Kenton is projecting. He would probably have tried it on with a vulnerable female friend in Fallon’s position when he was younger and is assuming Ed and Jazzer operate in the same way.

They should have told him while it’s lovely he’s so protective of his step-daughter, it’s a shame he’s done all to care for his biological daughter who he probably couldn’t pick out of a line-up.

WTF is wrong with him( or the scriptwriters)? In the history of the world I'm sure that no stepfather or father has booked marriage counselling for their 40something year old daughter without discussing it with her. It just makes the whole thing farcical.

Does Kenton have any loyal friends whom he has known and hung around with for more than twenty years? Fallon, Ed and Jazzer were in the same year at school, and were in a music group (Dross) together for three years from 2000. Why wouldn't they have remained friends even if they are no longer colleagues?

Kenton is probably jealous of their still being close.

I wonder if Jolene and Kenton were looking to partly retire, and were expecting Fallon to step in.

Kenton was born 8 Aug 1958 which makes him 68.

I was very carefully not asking that. He has certainly gone out of his way to alienate his family, so much so that even his twin sister finds him exasperating, and when Elizabeth realised he was proposing to live under her roof indefinitely she took the first opportunity to throw him out, and who else is there? Adam hardly knows him, Debbie is in Hungary, Kate has her own agendas....

And even Dull Dave is indifferent to him.

David dislikes Kenton for all sorts of excellent reasons! Not least that in spite of knowing how very much David dislikes having his name messed about with, Kenton persists in calling him "Dave", or occasionally "Dave mate" if he's trying to get something from him.

If I were David I'd probably retaliate with "Kenny". By the way, have we ever been told what Jolene's real name is?
