I'm on episode 10 of this podcast and desperate to talk about it. It's a bizarre story that sounds at first as though it's going to be about a romance scam involving a minor US TV star, but gets so much crazier as the weeks go on. It's on the verge of unbelievable but it's such a good listen.

No but thanks for the recommendation I needed a new podcast!

Yes! It's one of the most interesting series I've heard lately

Is this Clayton and Laura? Just checking I’ve followed the right one.

I finished it this week. The legal system and the culture of being able to take legal action for almost any and everything in America is insane.

Laura (and her parents who are just as bad) needs some serious psychiatric/psychological help.

That's right. It starts off with a focus on Clayton and then shifts to others as the story develops.

It's so insane! The amount of time and money that must goes into all these legal processes. And yes, agree, Laura desperately needs professional support, probably more than legal sanctions.

To be honest, I have this thought about more people from the US than I should. Is it because of their health care system I wonder? I am on a group with mostly Americans and see them write things like ‘I have $500 left on my insurance so I need to spend it before a specific date, I think I’ll get a mole removed’. A very uneven system when others are bankrupted by cancer, or just go without basic healthcare.
