I've got a ticket to watch a live recording of Natalie Haynes Stands Up For The Classics in London. I'm very excited.

I see that they over-book.

To guarantee getting in, what time should I arrive? Doors open at 19:00, recording starts at 19:30.

When I've been to radio recordings ( a few years back now), the queue outside has gone right around the outside of Broadcasting House. I'd get there around 90 minutes before. If there's no queue you can always go and have a coffee.

You have to be there at 5pm to validate the ticket. Her show is one of the most popular, so people will probably start queueing from around 3-3.30pm. Once you've had your ticket validated you can usually go in to the cafe at the radio theatre or go and find a bar somewhere till doors open at 7. Good luck!

Blimey! I'm glad I asked. I thought I'd need to arrive around 5pm.
