Who else is listening, and what do you think so far?

I’ve been a bit underwhelmed until episode 4 - Road Ghosts - which I listened to last night, and bloody hell Ken, that was creepy! The image of a thrashing, grimacing torso embedded in a car bonnet will haunt me for a while.

Yeah, I don’t like listening to this in the dark. I love Uncanny but have missed episodes 1-3 of this series. Must catch up on it.

I love uncanny! Team sceptic here 😁 I remember enjoying the first two episodes but I can't actually remember what they were about. I liked the 3rd one, but then I do enjoy a good UFO story. I agree OP, number 4 was very creepy. Glad I wasn't listening on my drive home!

The first episode of S5 was good but the rest have been a bit weak. I absolutely loved the first few series and the TV show and it's still required listening but it is lacking something.

I think most of them this series happened a significant amount of time ago which makes them less engaging (especially when I listen straight after listening to a programme on false memories 😂) - the fresh or ongoing ones are really interesting - those photos from that case with the little girl in the pink cardigan were terrifying. I think some updates or q&a's on earlier cases would be good.

I get irritated when Danny doesn’t ask the obvious questions, but he does well with ramping up the drama. I loved Bridget Christie as team sceptic!

Yes, me too! There’ll be some intriguing bit of information dropped and then… nothing!

I was enjoying the first episode until it turned into a live show. That unfunny comedian guy was so annoying.

I am a big uncanny fan but I am slightly loosing my patience now! The skeptic experts including the lovely Kieran are now sounding more deranged than the team believers! In many of these cases you don’t have to be Freud to see these are people with trauma or going through a painful psychological experience (divorce, difficult puberty, difficult family situations like a death of a parent) that would explain a lot! Or it is group hysteria in the Derren Brown mould. But instead of exploring this , the skeptics are having to reach for nonsense like “fungus spores” or “infra sounds” . The latest episode (The Magnet) is a case in point.

The red flags are all over this story - young woman being gaslighted by her older boyfriend, belittled for being “clumsy” etc etc. But the skeptic expert was just dithering about with ridiculous “explanations” which made me actually think the believer woman was more credible!

Still love the production values and it is very creepy!!
