I listen to podcasts on my commute to/from work. Before now it’s pretty much been all true crime podcasts hosted by women but I’ve been struggling mentally (recent third miscarriage) and so want to branch out into something that may help me instead. I’ve listened to a few eps of ‘the worst girl gang’ but I’m blinking back tears which isn’t ideal for work.. 😅 I think it’s too raw at the moment
Anyone have any recommended podcasts? Ideally weekly or more regular as I pretty much do an episode a day driving, sometimes more.
I have Apple Podcasts and Amazon music and would rather not pay another subscription.. thanks!

Not exactly mindfulness or mental health, but take a look at STEMtalk. I started listening to it to learn more about Alzheimer's (I have aging parents) but it is really eye opening to hear about such in depth and understandable discussions of really relevant topics.

Gentle podcasts I would say Liz Earle , Mel Robbins, meaningful money and whilst Xmas themed it's all about being nurturing to yourself and is just absolutely lovely is calm Christmas by Beth Kempton . Her voice is so soothing .

I listen to the Daily Calm guided meditations on YouTube. They probably have podcasts as well.

There is an Australian podcast (ABC) called All in the Mind (same as the UK one) but it's much better than the UK one and has lots of useful discussion and subjects. They just did a great one on self hate. I find the Australian approach more thoughtful than the English one.

You may not want to get into Buddhism but there is a very good teacher called Gil Fronsdal who does daily pieces on audio dharma https://www.audiodharma.org/teacher/1/ It's insight meditation so it's as much about what meditation can bring as Buddhist theories though he mixes little 15 minute talks with guided meditation sessions. I find his approach so very compassionate and caring but not telling you what to think.

A couple of other Australian ones - Ladies we Need to Talk (specifically women's issues) and one called Future Tense that covers psychology, technology, generational labelling, utopian thinking, a huge range.

I love podcasts, look forward to other recommendations.

AudioDharma - Gil Fronsdal

Audio Dharma is an archive of Dharma talks given by Gil Fronsdal and various guest speakers at the Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City, CA. Each talk illuminates aspects of the Buddha's teachings. The purpose is the same that the Buddha had for h...

Feel Better Live More (Dr Rangan Chatterjee) has lots of episodes on these, and health in general. It's a really good podcast.

Disordered anxiety help is great. Features two therapists who have both experienced severe anxiety themselves - lots of really helpful conversations.

Definitely Dr Chatterjee.

His new book Make change that lasts is also brilliant.
