Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that your current highlight is the kitten naming, or other unusual views.

As I am posting this on Sunday morning at a point where some omnibus listeners won't have caught up with this week's events, I've kept the title less spoilerish than I might have done. Below this point, everything broadcast to date is of course fair game, so be warned!

Of course the main interest for most us at the moment is indeed the kitten naming competition. Isn't it? No?

How do we think George is going to cope now? Whither the Grundy and Horrobin clan? Will Lilian choke on her G&T (please)? Will Kenton get septicaemia from a kitten scratch? Will Alice die of sanctimoniousness? Will Fallon spend the rest of her life with the appalling Harrison and his unfulfulled longing for a behbeh? Will Adam and Will come to blows in the Bridge Farm packing shed?

Could she not be Welsh or something to at least give us a fighting chance? I’m just glad we don’t hear much from Rex any more as he’s virtually indistinguishable from Tom and Josh

I was seriously confused by Ian blathering on to "Luddy" (which was what it sounded like to me) and wondered if I was mishearing it and it was "Luvvy".

I heard 'luvvy' too and was confused (I am quite deaf and my radio is old and crackly), but your explanation sounds more reasonable.

Lotty seems very into Ian - is she going to go stalkery?

Is lottys daughter the same age as Rosie? If so, how happy is she to be stuck with Xander all the time while her mum hangs with Ian

Xander was born in September 2019, I think, which would make him 5. So assuming LottieSpawn (whose name escapes me) is the same age as Rosie (born in July 2018) there's only about a year between them. So assuming Xander has the keen intelligence and unrivalled social skills of his father (because let's face it, they must have gone somewhere), there's probably not much difference between them.

Maybe his accent. I heard it as Lottie with strong accent so Luddy.

I heard it as Lardy but without the "r" pronounced.

It's just that she wears clothes for a 12 year old because of all that cake. She's actually 6 years younger than her girth suggests 😂

it's Ian's voice (awful for radio, sounds like he has too much spit in his mouth) coupled with a strong accent (which i love) makes him infuriating to listen to. as well as he's a complete arse.

On the third time of listening it finally sounded like Lottie.

and we’ve already determined he can’t fly the drone so would be doubly dumb

the two massive PSA SL in recent years were all messed up in the end so I’m not convinced they can handle this

My hope is that Brad talks to Jazzer before doing anything stupid.

Though this might mean that George either gets badly beaten up or is charged with another crime and has time added to his sentence.

@BitOutOfPractice , Loddy was at school with Pip so if she was Welsh she'd have a Borsetshire accent. Pat and Natasha are Welsh, so were the Mosses and Reece.

I thought Lottie was a school mum friend rather than a school friend so that explains a lot!

I have now forgotten what the bladdy child's name is. I'd settle for Lardy, but that's Rosie, isn't it?

I think Lottie is both an old school friend of Pip’s and a school mum friend.
