All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to hear more of Harrison's strange little moaning noises, or other unusual views.

Well, exactly. Roy would have had a deputy ready to step into his shoes, there is no way it would be left to the elderly co-owner and a work experience person. Also there's no way someone in Roy's position wouldn't have a contract requiring three months' notice.

Just in the short term though. Roy will probably want to sell his house, in which case Alistair and Denise could buy it …

I don't particularly care about Alistair (I find him dreary) but, after however many years of the ghastly Shula, I think he deserves a break in the form of a pleasant, easy-going woman who has some real affection for him. And that is not Denise.

OMG Oliver! What the hell is going on at GG?

Joy did seem a bit manic, but much as I love Lynda, I like people giving her a bit of lese-majeste so I enjoyed it. I can’t summon up any interest in Rochelle, but I found Joy’s kindness to Susan very touching and quite realistic.

In hindsight, Ambridge Extra had more plausible storylines.

Passing a property on to his kids is a luxury though.

I suppose it depends on how good the yield is compared to what he could do with the capital. Plus being a nonresident landlord can be a bit of a pain

Well on the dearth of young women - perhaps we will have a return of Phoebe who will have her sister move in with her and we will have a resurgence of Tuckers!!

As the half-sister of an Archer descendant Abbie certainly has a remote but legitimate claim to airtime!

I’ve often felt she must be waiting in the wings - or why invent her in the first place? But Phoebs was boring so I wouldn’t want her back until she’s grown a personality
