John Finnemore returns for another annual one-off of his multi-award-winning sketch show, with this year's show being all about the village he's moved into since last year's show. 45 minutes of JFSP is better than no JFSP, though!

Oh, that was nice. As a devotee of The Archers, I feel the production team could usefully listen to this as a reminder that village life doesn't have to be a knockoff version of EastEnders.

I've just caught the end of this and will have to listen to the whole thing on catchup.

I haven't listened to this yet, saving it for when I can concentrate in peace. But I'm just listening to a podcast featuring John Finnemore, in case anyone is interested. It's about a book/puzzle/mystery thing he's written which is coming out soon, called The Researcher's First Murder. It sounds way too clever for me (I'm no good at crypic crosswords, in fact I subscribe to the 'fact' revealed in an episode of JFSP that all cryptic crosswords are a complete con) but it's great to hear JF as a person rather than a character.

It's on The Allusionist. I generally really like it and have subscribed for years. But be warned that Helen Zaltzmann, the presenter, can be a bit overly zealous about some issues (e.g. she's a big trans rights fan). Not much of it comes up in this episode, except a couple of mentions during the adverts. I think you can probably get an ad-free version on BBC Sounds.

I only just found out about his one-a-year Souvenir Programme recordings, then found this thread belatedly! Bumping for any JF fans who had missed it too. I absolutely loved it - if anything, more than the sketches. Hilarious and kind of adorable, like a lot of his stuff!

I saw the previews at Easter and was i. Hysterics at that point

I was genuinely crying with laughter!
