Google podcasts is closing, please recommend alternative

Hi, I love Google podcasts, I like the interface, the alert dot when a new episode is available, the separate download tab, the completed tick, the hiding of completed episodes. Not sure I can wade through all the alternatives to find one that suits me. Can you recommend your podcast provider? Do you have to pay for a good one?

I've been using Podcast Addict for years and am generally very happy with it. There's a lot of options you can set to fine-tune it to work the way you want. It's free as standard, supported by ads. As I use it so much I paid the one-off fee for premium which removes the ads. I use it a lot in the car and it works great through Android Auto.

I've switched to AntennaPod.

All my podcasts transferred seamlessly, no complaints so far!

It's annoying because I really like google podcasts. I am now using Amazon music for podcasts but I'm already paying for Amazon Prime so it made sense. It seems okay and podcasts are ad free so far.

I've switched to pocket casts. It's quite good so far

I use Podbean which has the advantage (if you fiddle with the settings) you can autoplay some podcasts but not others.
