How to podcast - or similar?

A friend and I are off on a month's adventure (partly to raise money for charity, partly for our own amusement) and we want to keep friends/family/supporters updated about our progress via some kind of regular 'podcast'. But we're not sure quite how best to do it. We'll only have phones to record it on and we want it to be easily accessible via a link from our Instagram/Facebook pages.

Any suggestions?

Hi Beth, thanks for taking the time to reply. We used Spotify for Podcasters (Anchor) and it’s been fine for our (very basic) needs.
