More change at Radio 2

I only listen to two programmes on Radio 2, Pick of the Pops (not always, depends on which year is featured) and Sounds of the 70s. God forbid anything changes on Sounds of the 70s, but Paul Gambaccini has just announced he is standing down from Pick of the Pops in October, to be replaced by Steve Wright. Bummer. I like Paul Gambaccini on this. Nothing against Steve Wright, but really? Change for the sake of change, surely?

I prefer the older decades too. Just caught up with 1970, which was excellent. Now risking 1987, which is about as late as I go. Good start with It's a Sin.

Saturday was the only day I could bear to listen to R2 from 7am (couldn’t cope with more than an hour of TB!) to early evening but cannot bear steve wright so they will lose me once Claudia’s show is done 😢

What happened today? Claudia finished half an hour early then that awful Richie Anderson was on! I’m sure he’s a lovely man but his voice and persona really irritate me 🙁. I had to switch off - am sure R2 didn’t miss me but I miss the old line up

Listened to R2 in and off all day. As soon as I heard SW voice it went straight off which is a shame as I've always liked that show.
