I have podcasts on all night to help me sleep. Rather than choose a selection with 'play next' I pick an episode and it plays consecutive episodes automatically. However in the last week or so I keep waking up in the night to silence, and when I look at my phone it's often been playing a random episode of a different podcast and then just stopped for no reason, or sometimes with the message that there's a problem playing the episode but usually it's just stopped.
It's really annoying because when I have to look at my phone and restart a podcast it wakes me up fully and I then struggle to get back to sleep. I think the problem started around the time I installed the latest iPhone update, or it might have been when I started a paid subscription to one of my podcasts.
I have considered using a different podcast app but I'm not sure how they would carry my subscription over, or which one would be best - all I want is for a podcast to play all night! But it would also be great if I could make playlists of chosen episodes to play on a loop - my trusty iPod was brilliant for this but sadly apple's podcast app doesn't do this!
