Are there any other fans of Believe It! on Radio 4?

It's listed as: Richard Wilson narrates his fictional autobiography, based on glimmers of truth. This is a pretty fair description but doesn't hint at quite how amusing much of it is.

It's already on Series 6 (!) but remains rather unknown because it's often put into obscure parts of the schedule such as late morning or late night.

I can never quite decide about this, bc I'm not sure whether a) it's true and b) whether we're meant to believe it's true!

It's fictional but set in a factual context, where these actors do often meet up and be all actor-y around each other, and the joy for me is seeing the mix of over-the-top fiction in that, sort of true, world. The title is deliberate leg-pulling, but with the audience being in on the joke.

Definitely not for everyone's taste.

Know this is a "zombie thread" but just discovered this and have listed to all the episodes available on IPlayer in less than 24 hours. Loving Peter Capaldi and Ian McKellen being so tongue in cheek! Came online to see what kind of reaction there had been to it, and it seems to have peaked on release in 2012 as far as news goes... but trusty old mumsnet had a thread...

Just checked BBC Sounds and series 4 is on there, which it wasn't when I last checked.

I wish they would put the whole lot on there.
