Best wireless headphones/ear buds for listening to podcasts?

Tried using DS’s apple AirPods to listen to a radio drama whilst walking the dog. When a car drove past I couldn’t hear a thing! They’re ok for music but the spoken word not great at all IMO.

Other recommendations?

Mine are ok for radio and books. Do you definitely have them in far enough or turned up enough? Maybe different people have different shaped ear canals.

I wear aftershokz bone conductor headphones which I find to be very good as can other things going on around as well.

Are they AirPod pro? If so you can switch to noise cancellation mode. I listen to podcasts walking alongside a road regularly and it's fine.

I use DH's Trex Titanium jawbone headphones for talking books. If I am walking in busy, noisy traffic I sometimes have to press a little against one ear but it works fine along the canal towpath and quieter streets.

It was made by a company called Aftershokz (who may/may not be just Shokz now).

Saying that I will observe that some female audiobook narrators are tricky to hear (just in case you were listening to lots of female podcasters).

I also have Shokz - and rate them!

Amazingly, DH got me a pair of £10 Home Bargains wireless headphones for Christmas.....they’re brilliant!
