I welled up a few times. He obviously misses his wife so much. He came over really well as well as being interesting. He’s not someone I’ve really paid much attention to but I was moved listening to him, as was the presenter.

Goodness, that was wonderfully moving.
Lovely music choices too.

He's also on the Adam Buxton podcast this / last week. He deals with some awkward questioning very well!

DoubleShotEspresso · 07/11/2022 22:59

He's always been an utterly captivating character- you really feel his grief is so raw- but has such wonderful memories. Bittersweet

Amortentia · 07/11/2022 23:03

Ive just finished the book he wrote about his wife and I’d highly recommend it. Especially the audiobook version, as he reads it so well, it’s called ‘A pocket full of happiness.’

Thanks for those recommendations. I love his voice and can imagine he is an excellent reader of audiobooks and stories. He's been on my radar ever since I first saw Withnail and I, which is one of my all-time favourite films.
