Podcast recommendation for flight

I’m not a great traveller on a plane. Claustrophobia and anxiety 😟 so looking for something fun/interesting/gentle to listen to for distraction on an upcoming flight.

St Elwicks Neighbourhood Association Newsletter

Very gentle, very British, very funny. Plus the honeyed tones of Mike Wozniak, which I could listen to all day.

My therapist ghosted me (Vogue Williams, Joanne McNally)
Honestly I think I have laughed out loud at every single episode. Not for the prudish.

Smartless (Sean Hayes, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett) - amazing guests
Thanks a million (angela scanlon) - nice, warm fuzzy vibe
Off Menu (Ed Gamble and James Acaster) Can be very funny
Parenting Hell (Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe) Prob only funny if you're a parent

LifesTooShortForYourNonsense · 07/04/2022 18:20

Yes to St Elwicks! Might be funnier for me though, as I know the area he’s talking about.

Out to Lunch, Jay Rayner - interviews with Stephen Fry, Bill Bailey, etc.

Loremen - weird tales from around the uk, scored and judged by Alisdair Beckett-King and James Shakeshaft

Fortunately, Fi Glover and Jane Garvey chatting about nothing in particular

Perfectlystill · 08/04/2022 15:19

I listened to the first episode of St Elwicks last night based on this thread and thought it disappointing. Does it improve or do I give up now?

LadyOfTheCanyon · 08/04/2022 18:35

It really does improve. It takes a couple of episodes to 'set the scene' as it were, but once you're into the community it's absolutely hysterical. I guess it relies on you finding the particular brand of small minded, slow moving, NIMBY type humour engaging, but I absolutely love it ( and I'm a Londoner!)

PeppaPigStinks · 08/04/2022 19:55

Shagged, married annoyed is very funny.

BringMeTea · 25/04/2022 21:41

The Adoption. So good.

PritiPatelsMaker · 30/04/2022 08:36

Fortunately is good if you don't already listen. Alan Carr's Life's a Beach is quite light hearted if you need an easy listen Smile

3 Bean Salad is funny
