I always knew there was internet radio but I hadn't found a simple way to listen to it until I found Radio.Garden. As soon as you google it and click the link you get presented with a globe you can spin about. It has lots of little green dots that mark radio stations. It automatically plays the one closest to the centre of the screen, or in big cities you cycle through the options.
Fancy a bit of samba? Spin down to Brazil.
Country? Midwest USA.
etc
My favourite finds are a chilled electro dance station called See The Sea based in Samarkand.
Soma, based in San Francisco that has a "secret Agent" playlist - Music that could be from a 60s spy film.
WFMU Sheena's Jungle Room from New York. An odd mix. Rock-Glam-whatever. Love it!
Give it a go. It's an adventure!!!
