OMG R4, comedy slot 6.30 on now - beyond dull!

Yep, the new offering this evening. Some kind of "comedy" quiz which seems to be about the panel guessing the correct date of celebrities' birthdays.

My husband is using Spotify in the kitchen which means I can't put music on upstairs (where I currently am, doing some chores).

I cannot believe how low the bar is set for some so-called comedy. Get a grip, Radio 4. Please.

I liked it as a podcast. It didn’t work quite as well on the radio.

It's A Fair Cop is good.

Tudur Owen is amusing. Does it work if you don't understand the Welsh bits?

Last Tuesday's comedy slot (Simon Rich) was dreadful. I switched it off.

It's dire as is just about everything in that slot. Is Its A Fair Cop a new series. I like that a lot.

I like Conversations from a long marriage. I've gone off even Just A Minute and Sorry I Haven't A Clue, although they are ok.
The Unbelieveable Truth has me switching off.

A Fair Cop is ok. Ankle Tag (Friday morning) is ok too, but neither of them are Cabin Pressure

I love It's a fair cop. My DH and I listened to the back catalogue (6 series?) on BBC Sounds in the space of about 2 weeks.

I liked Converse from a long marriage at the beginning @WhoppingBigBackside , but now I find it too try hard. They are too quick off the mark with their comments and come backs. There is little reflection going on, which makes it less and less believable.

The News Quiz hasn't been the same since Sandi left.

They need someone to write a new comedy on a par with cabin pressure, it's the best!
