A bit sad that it was Shaun Keavney's last show on 6 Music today

Just that really, I've loved listening to Shaun on breakfast and in the afternoons over the years and I like Craig Charles as well but to me he belongs in the Saturday evening slot (when I'm usually in the kitchen cooking).

It was also something Shaun said in his final bit today which makes me wonder if he has been forced out, he said "when Iveas told I wouldn't be doing the show any more"

He has been occasional critical of Brexit and the Government, but away from the BBC on Twitter. I just think it's really sad if that's the case

his last link/speech and song was so heartfelt. I was sobbing 😭proper beefing. Why they asked him to leave I just don't know? Hopefully he'll turn up on radio 2 or something, he defo dropped a few hints and covered liza tarbucks show a couple of weeks ago.

I was really sad too. It's a really crap decision by 6 music. I used to listen to 6 loads, but now I'll hardly be listening at all - just Rad Mac on weekends (and they're being reduced by an hour each day!)
Shaun was brilliant covering for Liza Tarbuck the other week, I hope the BBC do have a rethink.

I'm really going to miss him although I managed to miss his last show.

Craig Charles is good and he worked so well on the Steve Lamacq show last year.

I really wish they'd kept Shaun and replaced Steve Lamacq instead.

Did anyone else notice that Steve Lamacq didn't have a holiday until it was announced that CC was doing the afternoon slot permanently? I think he was worried it would be him.
