All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you look forward to Shula's first sermon, or other unusual things.

I went for the obvious thread title this time. Poor Ruairi! Whither now for Alice? Will Jennifer talk to Peggy soon? Good hint from Lilian the other day that at Peggy's age it's not wise to leave feuds bubbling on.

It's been a long time since we last heard from a certain Archer whose name I am not going to mention in case it acts as a summoning charm. Long may she remain unheard in the dairy or out in the fields, or better still somewhere near a sinkhole. That was a storyline that looked promising years ago and wasn't exploited as it could have been. Pah.

I recently discovered I've known a Stella for years. She disliked it so much that she decided to go by her middle name as soon as she left school. She never did the swap officially though so passport etc are in the Stella first name.

Not really. If they've got a booking on the ferry, they need to be there on time. It was Lillian who was so desperate to book the vet at what seems to have been the most inconvenient time possible.

Fair enough. They are as bad as each other.

Unless there is a tragic maritime or equestrian incident in the pipeline last night's episode was just filler- a waste of 13 minutes.

There was also something about Jazzer and Alastair and what is presumably the canine equivalent of Hilda Ogden which was just as pointless.

The dog is called mousse as in chocolate mousse, but it’s a Westie? Westies are white.

@Chemenger I know, I thought the same. Why on earth would you name a little white dog after chocolate mousse?

Having recently had a complex journey involving a ferry which had to be pre-booked, and consequently fretting all the way from London that we might miss our connection and be unable to get on a later ferry, I sympathise with Justin. (We were OK, fortunately.)

My school bully was a Stella. She'd be early forties now and probably still a massive bitch.

Estella from Great Expectations would be a couple of centuries old now.

I am hoping very hard that it isn't going to be Sunday all week this week; I don't know how much of this "I am going to make you laugh if it's the last thing I do" style of scriptwriting I can take.

The Trazza and Jakob bits were OK.
