Recommendations for talk shows

I love having a bit of chatter on in the background but I'm bored to death of 24/7 Covid coverage and the same things being discussed day in day out. Does anyone have any recommendations for chatty shows or call in shows that discuss anything else?! I'd like something funny but I've had a quick Google and not found anything!

Following as fed up of LBC daytime. Steve Allen on LBC 4am-7am. Entertaining. Podcast it. JOB gives me a headache and Eddie Mair sends me to sleep. Wish Ian Payne had that 4-7 slot. Wish James O Brian would disappear off face of earth, taking David Lammy , Maajid Nawaz and Andrew Castle with him. Nick Ferrari past his sell by date. Shouty over weight misogynist hack. Would like to see Tom Swarbrick on breakfast show. SF on 10-1pm and Clive Bull 1-4pm. The whole weekend slots need to be revamped. Iain Dale is a ledge and Nick Abbott on 10pm -1 am weekdays. Andrew Pearce at weekends breakfast. Ruth Davidson - Why? THE most boring show.

I've never caught Steve Allen as I'm not usually up and listening to the radio at that time, but I will give the Podcast a go. JOB is infuriating at times but I can sometimes enjoy his show if the topic at hand is interesting, and I'm sorry to say that Covid and Brexit are not interesting - I could happily never hear either of them discussed ever again. The rest of the LBC lot I don't have strong opinions on, but they are always talking about the same bloody thing. I do quite like Nick Abbott, though it's a shame his slot is weekend evenings as I like to listen when locked up in my office during the week.

Op , i have started to turn to podcasts. I am really enjoying them. Have a look at podcasts, whatever you are interested in. Great to have on in background and informative.

@ElizabethofpeanutYorkies For some reason I thought R2 was mainly music! I've never listened to Ian Payne I don't think.

I ended up listening to a play on Radio 4 Extra (I think) last week that I enjoyed, but every time I've tuned in since it hasn't been something I've been interested in. I remember really loving BBC full cast dramatisations of things such as the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when I was younger - were they ever broadcast on the radio or were 'straight to CD' as it were? I'd love to catch stuff like that! Veering slightly off-piste here as they're not talk shows ...
