Please recommend your podcast app for android

I've tried stitcher which was ok but doesn't seem to work on my new Samsung . Google podcast and pocket cast don't seem to have some of my regulars uploaded in the last 6+ months. I hate spotify with a vengeance. Can anyone recommend the android app you use?

I've just had a big tour of apps on my phone as I got sick of Castbox because it was hard to close the full size ads and often seems late uploading new episodes- as you mention. I tried out lots (Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict to name just two), but I've since gone back to....Castbox.
There don't seem to be any that have the ease of finding similar podcasts, searching by network that are the main things I find useful. There have been some good features on other apps such as setting playback speed at different levels for different podcasts, but they often appear to be the same set-up app with the same look and features, just with a different name and slight tweaks.
So, I suppose I do recommend Castbox - I could upgrade to the premium, which is just under £20 a year to get rid of the ads.

Thanks, haven't heard of cast box. I had posted in chat too and a couple of people recommended podcast addict. Interesting you didnt like it. I'll try a few and see how I get on.

I us3 beyondpod as preferred it to podcastaddict but find it quite glitchy
