All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you think Phoebe is a genius, or other unusual views.

I put the BOOM! emoticon in the title as I thought it could transition into a vague likeness of a virus if we're still going by early May, when we expect some wild contortions from the production team to get Ambridge back in synch with the rest of the world. I think I would have preferred them to ignore it altogether but I suppose they couldn't.

AFAIK Tracey didn't know about the energy drink. Only Adam and Johnny were present when Gavin wanted to know which bag belonged to Roy.

And yes! Why is Johnny's 'problem' suddenly common knowledge? Adam and Gavin were nasty, weren't they?

I think it was that he had to take his cap off for cricket practice so Adam thought that it was ok to jeer at him about hair-loss revealed when it was removed.

Only two more episodes to go - WTF is going to happen??

Am I wrong in thinking there will still be episodes, just ones that have less characters? I thought they were recording from their homes?

We're having 4 weeks of recordings of previous "classic" episodes ( so presumably Nigel's scream.Helen and Rob, etc, then I think there may be a sort break, but I may have imagined it, then the monologues start up after that, 4 nights a week only.

I think I have missed a week or two of episodes, but have been listening this week.

Are there some genuinely bitchy/nasty/bullying scriptwriters on the team?

I am hoping that the "pause" in storyline will prompt the editor to urge the village to be a bit friendlier and more compassionate.

Well if it was a normal school, they would have been offering pastoral care and support to Henri but as its TA they have probably let him fend for himself. I would imagine Brian had the capacity money and influence to hush things up around Ruairi, Emma not so much.

Didn’t she live in a caravan so one of the Grundy boys before, though? Was it Ed? And it got cold and damp in winter?

Love the way the Grundys and Carters got together to keep Ed out of the way while they carried out Emma's plan. They really are a strong familial group.

She lived with Ed in a caravan, Abraid. So this is beautifully circular. And just the right thing to tempt Ed back without intimidating or overwhelming him.

I'm glad that MeanEd are back together, as they should be, but that is a massive u-turn on Em's part to go back to a caravan again. And Ed seemed to cave in to the arrangement very easily after his last rebuttal. But what the heck ... MeanEd again. Hurrah!

Hmm ... I wonder if this is the start of something. Essentially, Mungo needs to live in Ambridge. If he and Leonie come to stay for a while, it may be that either she decides Robert would never be able to run the B&B alone or they all decide it would make better sense to replace that income with some financial input from her. Which might be paying rent or buying into Ambridge Hall.

Whether James would be part of the package or not I'll leave to the 🔮.

Interesting plot Perdita. I can’t remember what jobs Leonie and James have. After the explosion I read on The Archers website that Robert had lost most of his money in a scam so he and Lynda do need the B&B income.

So poignant Robert's breaking and tears with the ghastly Philip. How can Lynda humiliate him so crushingly?
