Radio Times Ambridge Diary June 29-July 2
These lockdown episodes all seem to feature a little life lesson for the characters involved. Something salutary that gives them and us hope for the future. And this week, it’s Freddie who has the chance to put some ghosts from his recent past behind him, after he tries to solve a problem at Lower Loxley.
Elizabeth, meanwhile, is also on a new path, when an unexpected invitation presents itself. After struggling so much this past year, will she be able to throw caution to the wind? Plus, Ed finds himself torn between teams at The Bull’s alternative quiz night, while Susan and Tracy’s disagreement gets out of hand, leaving others caught in the crossfire.

Katie Hims is new. I am fairly sure she did well for Home Front; maybe she will be able to make a reasonable job of The Archers, so long as she doesn't think she knows things but instead knows that she doesn't know, and consults the archive. (The programme badly misses having an archivist or indeed anyone doing continuity.)
