All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like Hannah to stay around, or other unusual views.

I don't honestly see how Rex can fake an invoice for a date he doesn't know, in an amount he doesn't know, made out to someone he doesn't know, nor what possible good it would do if he were to do so, since the only evidence of it having been made out to the other person is if it is found on them, not if it is found in Josh's records.

And I don't see the point anyway. All the police want to know is the name of the person who had the digger last, not how he or she got hold of it.

Another one amazed that Tom is on the money here about Joyce. In the words of MN, she is a CF.

As far as we know Pat invited her -- because it was convenient for Pat to have someone else to prep the veg, and she knew fine and well that neither Helen nor Tom was going to stir a finger to help her. Oh,and because Pat, being Pat, didn't like to think of her being on her own.

Helen invited someone for the Christmas meal without consulting Tom, why shouldn't Pat do the same?

And what was that nonsense about organising games because Lee will be there?

Could it be that Josh wants to forge the invoice because he thinks that, given that the digger was used in a robbery, he is more distanced from the crime if it was a bog standard business hiring arrangement rather than him doing a favour for a friend?

It’s Christmas, I’m going to choose to think that Joy is simply trying to make friends. Tony is pretty much the only person who has willingly given her the time of day. I still predict she will be Pat’s new best friend, they’re both on the interfering do-gooder side so they might well get on. I also want to strongly support the idea that men and women can simply be friends without any other intent.

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you're all enjoying eating chocolate for breakfast! Father Christmas brought me some great art supplies, so I'm a very happy bunny.

I knew Joy would get an invite to the Bridge Farm dinner. Not sure whether Tom's worries are correct or not. It could be a red herring, to make us think that's what's going to happen, but instead, it just leads to her and Pat becoming best friends. Pat does like to take waifs and strays under her wing.

Thank goodness Pat didn't buy the cuckoo clock. A Jo Malone candle (which it obviously was, even though they didn't name the brand) and cashmere scarf do seem more appropriate for Gnasher.

John Archer was born on 31st December 1975 and has been dead for more than twenty years.

The person with the Christmas Eve birthday was Debbie Aldridge; she was born on 24th December in 1970.

Pat can be a bit Lady Bountiful but she is genuine. I can't recall anything about Joy that showed she's interested in helping other people. Helping Pat to catch the goats doesn't count.
