How do I listen to Virgin radio in the car?!

I can’t find the station. Someone at work told me it’s a DAB only station but I don’t really know what that means?! My car has a relatively whizzy radio with no old fashioned twiddly knobs! Is that DAB?!

Help-I want to listen to Chris Evans!

Your radio will tell you if it's DAB. Look for something like Band on it. Go to settings and take it from there. What car do you have? You can look up loads of stuff online or on YouTube.

Virgin was on 1215 FM, if I remember rightly.
It's called Absolute Radio now.
I think it's internet only. Could you play it on your phone?

I’ve got a Qashqai. I’ve got Absolute radio but that doesn’t seem to be virgin?!

It's called DAB Virgin. DH tuned it on our DAB radio this weekend.

It's called DAB Virgin. DH retuned our home DAB radio so he can listen to it.

Furrycushion · 22/01/2019 18:08

Yes Absolute is nothing to do with Virgin, although rather confusingly it used to be called Virgin! Virgin is only in digital (or on line?)

GreenDinosaur · 22/01/2019 18:25

Wow! I've never heard of anybody who actually wanted to listen to Chris Evans voluntarily! I'm in shock!

GreenDinosaur · 22/01/2019 18:26

Are you Chris's mum? Grin

Beware.

DAB is a piece of clunky 90s tech from the era of brick-sized mobile phones. Car reception is often either terrible or non-existent.
