The Understate is good. It investigates the murder of Hobart women Lucille Butterworth in the 70s, and the failure of the police to identify an obvious suspect.
For something really engaging but off-the-wall, Lost in Larramah explores the disappearance of a man from an Australian outback town with a population of about 20 people. The people and the place are fascinating but bizarre. The narrator has an obvious affection for the town and it’s few inhabitants.
I like Australian True Crime - it’s a bit different because Meshel Laurie interviews people, police, criminals and others, about their careers and experiences.
I’m also enjoying Southern Fried True Crime with Erica Kelley. She has a beguiling voice and she’s not afraid to editorialise; she’s often both amusing and insightful.
