The story of George Peach.

It'll make you cry.

Listening.
[Sad]
But funny too.

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/02/2018 23:45

Just heard it. Great storyteller.

I wonder if there really was a George Peach?

LizzieSiddal · 15/02/2018 23:47

I’ve just listened. She’s fab.

Did any of you listen to her series on finding and meeting her real Mum? It was amazing. Very touching and funny also.

BoreOfWhabylon · 16/02/2018 11:21

Oh, I caught the end of that a while back Lizzie

I'd love to listen to the whole thing.

JunkRevolution · 17/02/2018 10:42

What's a "real" mum?

echt · 18/02/2018 10:44

I've just listened to this on a hot Melbourne evening, cooking and hearing the cicadas going daft. Great story-telling. So many Aussie moments, not least the fucking stupidly dangerous dive. There was a pic of just such an Australian teen place/rite of silliness this weekend in the paper.

My DD joined all her mates jumping off the pier at Mordy as a teen . It's what they do.

LizzieSiddal · 18/02/2018 11:04

junk sorry I should have said “Birth Mum”
My own mum abandoned me when I was 3. It’s the term I use but I understand others find it offensive.

BoreOfWhabylon · 18/02/2018 11:30

@echt your post has made me feel so nostalgic. I spent many years in your part of the world and miss it still.

And yes, so many authentic Aussie moments in the story of George Peach.
