So who's going? Here's a repeat of mummytime's link.
Anybody got any thoughts/insights on hotels?

Oivia your talk was great. Did you manage to make it up Steep Hill before heading home?

It was such an interesting conference, full of intestine and articulate presenters and a lively, responsive audience. Roll on next year!

Thank you Paxo - we did, and we were SO pleased we did. My friend and I even had a quick nip round the cathedral before it closed, a lovely supper in a little cafe and cheekily listened in to one story of a ghost walk before heading back to rural Herts.
So struck by what a lovely city Lincoln is. Would that it were a bit closer to home.

I knew you'd love it - everyone does. It's like a secret. Everyone knows or has heard of places like York and Cambridge but Lincoln never features on the radar.

And I'm sure by the time you'd got to the top of the hill you'd burned enough calories to justify your supper.

Paxman intestine?!

My talk was about the theoretical and practical difficulties of the coercive control offence as portrayed by the Archers. I might put up my speech on my blog in case anyone was interested but missed things while I gabbled at 100mph

Cecile you were great
I'm sorry we didn't get more of a chance to chat

Me too! I was in awe of your mocked-up social media pages. We do have something in common, though, in that I have just moved back to (fairly) rural Hertfordshire, about 20 miles away from Much Hadham! I think there was a Hertfordshire academic there as well? Funnily enough, though, while I had slow internet (2mb/s) while I was living with my parents in Hertfordshire before, I had 0.16mb/s in London when I moved there, which was slower than broadband! This is probably both irrelevant and boring, but the internet coverage issue did come up and it seems to be so randomly distributed throughout the country. Anyway, I really enjoyed your presentation :) and thanks!

On Friday morning I went down Steep Hill - which is worse/more painful for my arthritic knees than going up (that's worse for my lungs!), then decided I was wrong and partway up before deciding I'd been right after all.
Nothing more relevant to add to this thread. SmileI am still wiped out after my busy weekend.

[a quick wave] it was great to meet everyone I did meet.
I was snotty about steep Hill, but when I walked up it on the Sunday it was steep. I loved Lincoln, a friend of my DD is hoping to be there next year, and I told her I think its a lovely place.
It was such a refreshing break to get away and have my brain stretched.
