Ho ho ho! Will this thread last until Christmas?

OP posts:
ThatsNotMyToddler · 23/12/2016 18:34

A tin of custard, surely?! Xmas Wink

Fink · 23/12/2016 19:12

Ok, hands up who else immediately thought Rob had been hiding in the bushes and had snatched Henry?!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 23/12/2016 19:17

Not quite. I assumed Henwee had wandered off and Rob would find and return him to Helen.

Henwee still sounds about 2.

officerhinrika · 23/12/2016 19:17

I know we all hate re-casting but the first thing the new editor needs to do is recast Henry. He sounds like a child half his supposed age.

Shallishanti · 23/12/2016 19:17

'....it's going to be th best christmas ever...'
no! No! don't say it....

PuppetInParadize · 23/12/2016 19:19

A tin of custard - brilliant idea. TNMT. I was thinking a very sharp knife to finish things off.Grin

TheAntiBoop · 23/12/2016 19:29

Can he recast pip as well

In fact, the current Henry actor would make a better pip

Mootsie · 23/12/2016 21:11

The current Henry actor probably is Pip.

DeepanKrispanEven · 23/12/2016 21:43

I thought the 'Are you still here?' comment was just that Justin expected him to have already gone somehere else for Christmas.

I listened again, mostly for the fun of hearing Rob have a bad time, and it seemed pretty clear that it referred to the fact that Justin didn't particularly expect him still to be working for BL. But why would you appoint someone you expect to walk out within three months?

DeepanKrispanEven · 23/12/2016 21:47

There was definitely a bit of swearing in our house at Ruth recounting to Pip how she'd told Jill off for being selfish. Does she really have to suck up to Pip like that? If I were Jill, as soon as my DIL told me I was selfish I'd tell her that I was selfishly going to bugger off to Lower Loxley for Christmas and leave her free to have Toby round as much as she wanted - always supposing he actually wants to risk sampling Ruth's cooking.

cheminotte · 23/12/2016 23:01

.

PuppetInParadize · 23/12/2016 23:06

Maybe the Henry actor can be out on a retainer and play Kirsty's child in 2 years' time.Smile

DeepanKrispanEven · 23/12/2016 23:44

Surely Helen should be thinking about having a conversation with Henry about how Daddy hasn't been nice and that is why he can't see him? Maybe with a judicious reminder about how Daddy wanted to send him away to school, and about Thomas' fate?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 24/12/2016 00:03

Rooth and Pipsqueak plumbed new lows tonight.

BertrandRussell · 24/12/2016 01:07

Do you think many syllables Rory being good at art is a code- as in being "musical"?

BertrandRussell · 24/12/2016 01:09

And presumably Henry would be seeing a social worker/child psychiatrist? Or has nobody even t Eid to help th poor little brat make some sense out of what's happened?

Shallishanti · 24/12/2016 13:09

Gosh, how would Brian cope BR, his own flesh and blood?

Vango · 24/12/2016 13:47

Slight derail, but did anyone else hear The Archers on Dead Ringers again? Very, very funny and well observed, as always. 😁

enochroot · 24/12/2016 13:53

Yes, I heard Dead Ringers. Caused much mirth in this house.
Louisa's Pick of the Year is interesting too.

Vango · 24/12/2016 14:04

I liked it so much I listened again this afternoon. Have drifted away from Louiza, not grabbing me.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/12/2016 14:28

Louiza didn't do much for me either.

Loved DR though Xmas Grin

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 24/12/2016 16:14

I did like DR Archers and Theresa May feeling sorry for herself ( tbh I actually felt sorry for her being left out of dinners etc)

Those were the best bits . Their post EU referendum one was sheer genius. I'm still smiling at the shadow foreign secretary being a coat stand with a Che Guevara beret.

TheMortificadosDragon · 24/12/2016 16:23

I got some ironing out of the way this afternoon by listening to thursdays again, fridays and then DR. Good, though my only audible laugh was the Diane Abbott thing.

While Henry probably does need some sort of warning about Rob, maybe its good that Helen isn't demonising him(even though justified) in the same way that doubtless he would vilify her if he got the chance.

glowfrog · 24/12/2016 16:51

After Helen's comment about seeing Henry in the morning, I am worried she will wake up on Xmas day to find Henry gone with Rob. Confused

Too sensational, you say - yes, but they did have Helen stab Rob! Hopefully now SOC is gone we don't have to worry about something like that.
