Rob's pride will prevent him pursuing supervised access - Henry after all is an unnaturally conceived brat he was graciously prepared to 'take on'
he is convicted of coercive control
he is run over

Helen must stay at Bridge Farm until Rob is dead. I want to hear a conversation between Peggy and Jill. I want to hear Ursula's story and what went on in Canada.

Would also like to hear a Neil and Susan row and Neil put her in her place. Would it be abusive if Neil gave Susan a slap? Yes of course I know it would but he could claim mitigation surely.

OfTheRoses, sadly abuse isn't defined by class or upbringing. It can land on any one of us, male or female, just like heart disease, cancer, alcoholism or even a bacterial or viral infection. When we are kind to each other and brought up to be kind to each other and to respect each other, and we meet people with the same beliefs, there will probably be a better outcome. A chink in the armour can lead to abuse. And we fall in love. And love is blind as we all know apart from when we are blind to it.
I think Henwee will be ok. His mum and grandparents know how to access help. There will be ishoos along the way though.

I didn't feel satisfied by that court result - it all seemed too easy, and there clearly was (totally reasonable) bias against Rob, which I think he will find easy to use to go to appeal.

I am not sure I would make the complaint about the rape if I were Helen - that really is his word against hers (and Jess's), but then it would be the CPS's decision rather than Helen's, but if they did go to court with it, they'd be reliant on her evidence, because there is no other evidence, no witnesses. I think there's be more to go with on the coercive control, though. And yes, she definitely should get the PR revoked, and go for divorce and whatever sort of appropriate order.

I hope Kirsty knows what she's doing.

Glad I'm not the only one baffled by the SW evidence and wondering why it wasn't used at Helen's trial. I stopped listening a lot after the stabbing and mainly read updates on here and thought you'd mainly all forgotten to tell me about the exciting episode when Henry unwittingly revealed how he was manipulated.

Oh that was so good! Wish we'd heard the social worker's report, or examples of it in summing up. Justin cannot give him the job, he just can't. Really looking forward to hearing that conversation! It's going to be so lovely listening to TA again without a horrible anxious cloud hanging over me.

I can't see what would keep Rob in Ambridge now. No job, rent and bills to pay, general awkwardness everywhere he goes, all for limited access to a baby who I'm guessing he'll soon tire of seeing under constant supervision. However, I can't see him letting Helen and 'gideon' go either.

I really enjoyed the episode and disagree that it all came about too easily at court. The judge was just a very sensible person who could see straight though Knob. At last!

It was a rather satisfying ending to hear Rob and Arseula scuppered. I wonder how long he'll stay in Ambrishe for now?

I wonder where the visits from Jack will happen? Jack can't be too far away from H as she's feeding him. Pat or Tony needs to supervise but I expect they won't want to go to the Cottage and they certainly wouldn't want him in their house.

On balance too many tidy happy endings for me - Tom and kirsty straight after the ludicrous grange farm / Joe settlement.

Would really like to hear the social workers evidence. I expect it was very obvious Henry had been coached to answer the sort of questions Rob assumed they would ask him. Would of thought they must pre-empt this and have ways of interviewing the child that reveal what's really going on rather than asking more direct questions about home.

Thing is, Knob wouldn't have told Henwee not to mention Thomas Wabbit etc because he has no idea that such behaviour IS NOT NORMAL.

So there would have been lots of "Daddy says..." from Henwee and every piping syllable would have damned Knob more and more.

Very good... I particularly enjoyed pat telling ursula the score. And ursula totally not knowing about women like Anna if she thought she was making eyes at the judge.

I'm a bit worried though, with the likelihood that robs job will have fallen through too and he'll have nothing to lose ... However, I think he's got far too much potential as a long term menace to be squandered on a quick bout of overt violence.

henry had to see the social worker. rob took him and was aghast that henry had to go in and talk to them on his own .

There'll be room. PatnTone have a room, Johnny has John's old room, Tom his own room, Helen her own room with cot for Gack and there'll be a spare for Henwee when he's ready to leave Helen's side.
