Love the show! When it finishes, or if someone is standing in for him, otherwise, no.

Oh Gid, I loathe him. He was the one who started all this zoo radio shit, with a presenter and their giant ego being endlessly flattered by a bunch of sycophants.

Hated him when I was a teenager, hate him now. Bleurgh!

Giggle at him, really? Cringe more like. I prefer when Patrick Kielty sits in for him and I also prefer Sara Cox to Chris Evans. Can't be doing with giant egos.

Anyone who needs a bunch of people in the studio with them, screeching at every remark they make, does not a great presenter make.

Christian O'Connell, in fact loads of Absolute Radio DJs are awful for this.

Steve Wright is probably the least entertaining man on Radio. I hate his group of pointless studio people but most of all I hate how he sings along to the songs.

Can't stand the show . He's on every week day and Sunday . Unbelievable

For me also it's the singing along and utter smugness.

He ruins so many songs by cutting them short and chatting over them. Like I want to hear him more than I want to hear Mama Cass (that particular occasion really grated)

True, he does talk over songs or they get cut short sometimes before the news.

However, my opinion of him has gone up since I heard him interview Alan Bennett, and his questions were pitched just right - neither dumbed down nor too highbrow (e.g. radio 4 arts programme style presented by oxbridge grad)

and so badly educated....and no, he is not putting on an act when he claims never to have heard of some huge historical event or mispronounces a very everyday word, he really is that stupid.

He's also not funny, he really really thinks he is and it is utterly cringeworthy.

A few years back he had on some of the old timer radio two funnies...Roy Hudd and Barry Cryer (I think) ....they bounced off one another, were hugely amusing, extremely funny, Wrighty totally failed to get a single one of the jokes, failed miserably to join in or even actually manage to try to do a basic interview and then resorted to cuttng them off by playing a song over them to try and get control back.

If you love him be sure to let him know. He does love to read out the 'loving the show Steve' texts so very much.
I don't mind him too much, he's very cheesy and thick but doesn't offend me massively.

He's awful. I can only listen to Sunday Love Songs when Janie Lee Grace sits in. I hate it most when he reads a heartfelt dedication from a loved up couple and then plays something like 'No Woman No Cry'! I end up shouting at the radio about it not being a love song like a mad woman.

esme I did that exact same thing the other day. This elderly man was dedicating something to his wife on their 50th anniversary and got some awful break up song.

Enjoy the show though susie, hope you learn something uninteresting and not necessarily even true from the factoids

Oh god he's the epitome of Uncle Dickhead.

He's atrocious. Witless, sycophantic, dull, and has no redeeming features. I imagine his fan base in anoraks or giggling with "the girls from work" over a prosecco.

Love Patrick Kielty though.

I can't bear Steve Wright. When he has soneone in for an interview and then reads directly from a script about their new film/book/whatever. DO SOME RESEARCH FFS! At least pretend you're interested!
