The conclusion to this had better be worth it and not just Helen realising he's a bastard.. He leaves and that's the end of it!

Oh that was awful, just awful.

This is Helen's life now, she will be stuck in this, cut off from her family, friends, and having no economic way of getting out.

Horrible.

I want to stop listening, because it's just horrible but have ended up feeling that if I stop, I'll be incredibly disrespectful to all the poor people who have had to endure this in RL.

That was horrid.

He heard her say she would pop in for tea and see the girls in the tea room so he rang Ursula who rushed round to whisk her away before she could talk to anyone. He very nearly shouted at her to sit down when she wanted to serve Shula and then talked about her as though she wasn't there.
I'm actually quite outraged on her behalf.

In his head he probably does now believe she hit him after she said lots of really nasty things to him

On a lighter topic, there's a tweet on KD's website about music being played and he refers to the fact that he specified a particular song but it can change before recording due to rights issues etc. I've always vaguely wondered whether the SW or the producer chose the background music in any given scene.

Pat is such a ridiculous mother. She's just been told her daughter has been given Ads and her reaction is "oh let us know if there's anything we can do".

The positive is that Helen was trying to see Kirsty and Shula and Fallon witnessed his browbeating.

The ending was heartbreaking.

My worry is that women living through this in rl are switching off or they are thinking 'mine isn't so bad, he isn't raping me/trying to get me sectioned/hitting me'

Shula hasn't had a perfect marriage never mind that little tryst with Richard while he lived with Usha. Shula won't much judge a couple's small squabble.

But Fallon... Fallon our girl is well feisty. She'll have to ask someone how could Hell put up with that kind of treatment. Didn't Fallon go out briefly with Tom? (Knob wouldn't even know that) So they'd still be mates. Fallon would want to say something to K & T.

I know Patbot is annoying... but whenever Pat tries to fix Hell it backfires. Her son ran away to Canada & almost didn't come back. Pat fell to pieces after other son died. She nearly didn't get to know Johnny. Maybe she's learnt the hard way to be hands off with them all.

I find it hard to believe that H would have forgotten who hit whom. Is knob meant to have convinced himself it was other way round OR is this an attempt at extreme gaslighting???

What is confusing me is that on Monday hellin was doing the 'oh wob I'm so sorry for hitting you and scaring henwee' but today she seemed appropriately irritated and scared. Is this just the way these things go or a convenient SL shift?

KD is this week's scriptwriter, Keri Davies. He's very keen on music. His other job is as a DJ.

Shula definitely felt uncomfortable in the shop. She will mention it to someone. The gossiping will begin.

Fallon witnessed Helen being treated like a naughty child. Helen was asking for Kirsty so she will tell K about the whole incident. This will get Kirsty to confirm how worried she is about Helen.

Harrison to arrest Knob on a charge of rape and physical assault?? We can dream!!

Helen really wanted to see Kirstie, and is being a bit more clever, e.g cutting Fallon off before she dropped her in it. Wonder if she's making a plan...
Ending was horrible but this is how an abusive partner would behave.
