Gaspode - yes, there was more - Jill said something about Carole pricking her ears up in the conversation about Helen to Pat - looks like Carole is a TA listener

I knew the truth about my Ex when I was in hosp for a short time in the early 2000's - (although he refused to let my DC visit (v early teens) and I was distraught but thought perhaps he knew best), but when I went on home leave he was hateful. In my notes there are 2 conversations with HCP about this, they reassured me that I must be seeing things wrong atm.

When I was out and depressed (instead of high) I went back to feeling it all stemmed from me. Also in my outpatients appts I tended to put on a believable front - for my psych? or for me? It was only towards the end that the scales fell from my own eyes.

Helen has had previous MH difficulties. IME this makes a difference both to what she thinks and what others think. Well-spaghetti headed. I can just about remember what that felt like - and I don't want to hear it.

I don't suppose anyone has a list of the Klaxon Episodes? If not, I'll have a go myself when I've got a moment.

Annie - I think there was even more: along the lines of Carole sensing that something is not right, and being good at noticing these things.

I do a pick up on Friday evenings at 7, and I always used to have the Archers on while I drove home. But since this story I don't risk it in case it's something unsuitable for a mixed carful. I hadn't really noticed that before.

I don't think Ian has discussed with his husband what knob said as it just brings up a can of worms. Ditto Charlie being blackmailed. shula will keep quiet as she perjured herself. So it think people can't come out and say why they loath or distrust knob. As in (Ian). He's a shit because he told me you were shagging Charlie. Not to thingy or anyone in the village (dirty linen and all that)

I agree that a lot of people just get on with their own lives in most places. I live in a village and most people are working not standing on street corners gossiping. At least not in depth and enough to unmask knob.

De-lurking as I just have to say that I want this storyline to stop now. I can't stand it anymore!

Rob definitely does not want to get rid of Hellin. He just wants her completely downtrodden and under his control. And to do this he needs to alienate her from her family, get rid of Henry and keep his toxic mother around.

I did get the feeling that Helen perhaps told the psychiatrist something different from what she told Rob. It all seemed a bit too easy to say 'oh I'm so sorry Rob'. Saying that, she does seem to be completely under his spell but maybe the dreadful things he said and hitting her made her wake up a bit?

I'm counting on Carole, Kirsty and Tom to come to the rescue. However I too feel it's strange that Rob has managed to get away with everything so far. Why didn't Ian say anything to Adam? Or Charlie to Adam?

Tonight's episode was definitely light relief. Although it's about time we heard this grownup Ben speak!

I'm sure they have an actor in the wings to play Ben - probably the offspring of a sleb

Yesterday, I suggested that Helen's manner after the psych consultation made me think she had told them what Rob wanted them to hear (and someone else agreed with my theory). But thinking about your point, and KD's tweet that we discussed yesterday, you may be right - I wonder if we are being signalled that Helen said something different to what she told Rob...

Or that may just be wishful thinking.

Sadly, KD's tweet about "Whose truth" made me think that it was definitely Rob's version that the psychiatrist heard.
