Major pedantry alert here- Jenny said "in the wine fridge darling" indicating the champagne. I thought wine fridges were to keep red wine at ambient temps, not to chill white wine and fizz?

Re living alone I think Shula is living alone, she just hasn't noticed yet that Alastair left her weeks ago...

Wine fridges have shelves whose temperatures can be regulated, so you can keep all your wine in the same fridge at the correct temperature for every type.

I have entirely assumed that Jenny's wine storage system would have dedicated zones providing optimum temperatures for every possible beverage ...

I bow to the superior wine fridge knowledge. I think I'm just grumpy because I don't get to drink any for the next 7 months! Aah, wine. And beer. And cider. And gin. It's all over the bloody Archers, taunting me.

Do you remember around Christmas that Richard Locke said that he recognised Rob from somewhere? Could this be the twist in the story?

I know I said I wasn't going to listen but I was driving to knitting group and always have radio 4 in the car. I was forced to listen in.

Gutrotwein, Richard Locke recognised Rob from when he had the paternity test. As I understand it, the original script had him being introduced as a stranger till the cast members pointed out that they'd "met". Though I still think the correction was a mistake, given that it was immensely indiscreet for RL even to hint that he's met Rob as a patient.

gruntled I wondered if RL had recognised him from a newspaper report on a suspected rape, or something like that. Maybe I'm reading too much into it...!
