Do you know that I was 3 months pregnant when the first thread started - DD was 2 yesterday Cake

That must also mean that Poppy Grundy's 2nd birthday has passed by unremarked upon...

it's almost like the person who comes up with the rhythm of the SL also came up with Footballers Wives

oh, wait

Gruach · 18/10/2015 21:15

Still ... if it brings Charlie out all flustered and grieving and needing a hug ...

Did I mention he needed a hug?

stilllearnin · 18/10/2015 21:33

I love the way that ahem, some of us (including me), are falling over Charlie. Not only is he fictional (look away now if you didn't want to know this) but he is on the radio! Still yes, I think I should give him a hug and thanks for volunteering me!

Gruach · 18/10/2015 21:36

Well you can volunteer for the back of the queue ...

stilllearnin · 18/10/2015 21:47

group hug?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 18/10/2015 22:09

Charlie 4 Helen (& Henry)

After Rob gets his comeuppance of course...

BYOSnowman · 18/10/2015 22:12

isn't he gay?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 18/10/2015 22:18

Bi maybe...?

selsigfach · 18/10/2015 22:22

No way, TheOne, Charlie can do so much better than Helen! I love it when he gets all masterful. Grin

dairyfarmerswife · 18/10/2015 22:24

Haven't listened yet but gather botulism is the cause (and my prediction was wrong!) A similar scenario happened on a farm in Wales last year.. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-27507978

BYOSnowman · 18/10/2015 22:24

is that wishful thinking!

can you imagine being lumbered with Helen!!

BYOSnowman · 18/10/2015 22:29

only suggested dfw - rigid legs seemed to be mentioned

looks like they have copied that article though!!

LyndaNotLinda · 18/10/2015 22:50

Why do we like Charlie? He's a complete twat Angry

It's got to be Knob's fault surely. Otherwise it's an entirely pointless SL (unless Adam saves the day or something).

I thought the MW had the measure of Knob actually. Whoever said that Hellin sounds flat about the pregnancy is bang on the money. She doesn't sound at all excited. Just apprehensive. And running off to the loo at times when he's being 'masterful'.

I quite like the idea of Calendar Girls. At least there's some comedy already written in, rather than having to shoehorn it into the panto like usual.

LillianGish · 18/10/2015 22:52

Whatever is wrong with the cows it wil be Knob's fault. Knob's obviously been putting it about that he resigned - not that he was about to be sacked.

PseudoBadger · 18/10/2015 22:58

Botulism caused by Stefan's rotting corpse which is concealed about the place?

OP posts:
orangina · 18/10/2015 23:02

I am just a lurker on this thread, but was just about to dive in and suggest what PseudoBadger said! Stefan's rotten corpse, Knob will for to prison for ever.....

(wishful thinking)

I feel anxious now whenever I hear Rob's voice of concern.....

(knot in stomach)

orangina · 18/10/2015 23:03

(will go to prison forever..... augh to random auto correct!)

BYOSnowman · 18/10/2015 23:04

oh i don't know - what do you get for murder these days? 5 years?

LyndaNotLinda · 18/10/2015 23:11

Ooh I like that! Knob can't die - otherwise it makes Hellin look a bit careless with her choice of partners. But carted off to the nick, that would work

orangina · 18/10/2015 23:16

Do we think Hellin is going to let Knob go through with the parental responsibility lark that he was going on about?

GruntledOne · 18/10/2015 23:55

Terrible thought - are they going to produce a naked Archers calendar to go with the show?

selsigfach · 19/10/2015 06:11

Surely they were either winding Susan up or got the wrong end of the stick? Can't imagine Lynda suggesting anything so low-brow!

dairyfarmerswife · 19/10/2015 07:15

BOOP for Joe: 'you ain't distracting me with the prospect of some titty...titter...titivation' Grin

And I realised tonight I've got a crush on Neil, even if he is old enough to be my dad Blush so solid and dependable, and a lovely warm, rich voice.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/10/2015 07:15

It's not lowbrow, is it? Middlebrow, yes, but there's a very worthy theme to it all. It's not near nudity for the sake of near nudity. Grin

GruntledOne, I do hope you're wrong about that. My mum always buys me an Archers calendar for Christmas. I don't want naked TA characters grinning at me from the kitchen wall all year. [smelling salts emoticon]

CuttedUpPear · 19/10/2015 07:32

DFW could you fill us in on the causes of botulism?
