Do you know that I was 3 months pregnant when the first thread started - DD was 2 yesterday Cake

That must also mean that Poppy Grundy's 2nd birthday has passed by unremarked upon...

I think he will get Helen to fall out with fallon and then Tom won't have a say anyway

And as no one ever talks about anything fallon won't mention that she thinks rob was behind Helen being unreasonable to anyone

Gruach · 13/10/2015 18:48

Hmm ... If Fallon loses the cafe contract how will she pay her share of the love nest rent?

BYOSnowman · 13/10/2015 19:11

Pip seems to have evened out her voice a little and sounds a little less manly. Maybe she will be easier to listen to in 2017.

Fairbrethren still annoying. They refer to each other by name a lot. Guess it's because they've realised we can't tell the difference!!

Maybe Toby will start cattle rustling

BYOSnowman · 13/10/2015 19:15

Neither of the fairbrethren come across very well. Both arrogant tossers

enochroot · 13/10/2015 19:26

Fallon and Harrison have to discuss Rob soon, surely.

FloraDiesEarly · 13/10/2015 19:43

Someone upthread mentioned the "reminiscing" they all do now. The other day it was one of the Fairbrothers with Ruth, about his gran dying or something, which is fair enough as we don't really know the characters, but now everyone does it! It drives me mental, you see it all the time in bad TV dramas and it's suddenly made its way into nearly every conversation in TA. Particularly bad around memories of the village hall and HP Angry Does anyone else hate it?

Gruach · 13/10/2015 20:43

OMG

Could I be any happier?

See you all there?

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 13/10/2015 20:57
Grin

They can scan the TA MN threads for discussion points!

StubbleTurnips · 13/10/2015 21:17

Flora the reminiscing at granny seaside made me Hmm seed really disjointed and clunky when listening.

CuttedUpPear · 13/10/2015 21:17

There's one for daddaddad there!

StubbleTurnips · 13/10/2015 21:18

^seemed not seed

Gruach · 13/10/2015 21:21

Thing is CUP I'm honour bound to venture into rebel territory to alert Brenda. She'll want to present a paper.

DadDadDad · 13/10/2015 21:39

Thanks for the link. Should I publish? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/radio_addicts/2233904-How-old-are-Archers-listeners

Speaking of conferences devoted to statistics, like last year I am off to the Life Insurance conference of the Institute of Actuaries in November! I have fond memories of live-"blogging" on these threads during the conference. Grin

GruntledOne · 13/10/2015 23:48

Surely if the cops want to track down the poachers and find Ed's cattle, all they've got to do is to track down the nearest Horrobin who isn't currently locked up?

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 14/10/2015 00:44

I was suspecting a Horrobin angle too. And I suspect they have turned Scruff.

Poor Ed though.

GypsyFl0ss · 14/10/2015 05:55

Do it DDD! Then Gruach can get together a group to go.

JessieMcJessie · 14/10/2015 09:17

What an interesting link Gruach. I can't quite work out if it's a genuine academic thing though. Good that one of the academics is from the University of Stirling as (a) that is where Jim is supposed to have taught and (b) I am from Stirling (as in grew up there; studied elsewhere).
I vote for someone to do a paper on a phonetic and semantic analysis of Borsetshite accents with particular reference to the phenomenon of children not inheriting the same accent as their parents- compare and contrast Emma Grundy and George Grundy.

AskingForAPal · 14/10/2015 09:22

Are they just making the Fairbrethren into the S Club Juniors version of David and Kenton?

Have to say I did laugh at Rob's new interpretation of a tenancy agreement, wherein if the landlord was in two minds about letting the premises, they get to make all the decisions about decor, products for sale and general ethos.

Gruach · 14/10/2015 09:44

Tsk Jessie! Surely you understand that Will and Emma, being good, aspirational parents, have been sending George to Stagecoach in Felpersham every week for years. They were (misguidedly) determined that he should grow up with an entirely neutral accent - and thus stand a chance of unlimited radio work away from Ambridge.

I followed the BBC links to the two people named - but I might investigate further today. As they have a date and a venue I'm assuming it's genuine. Although I'm surprised they haven't set aside a week rather than a day.

ppeatfruit · 14/10/2015 09:48

BOOP for the argument between Rex and Eddie including the sensitive ending with Pip.

mummytime · 14/10/2015 10:24

On my drive today I thought about where the poachers would hit next. It should be the Fairbrethern surely, lots of possible drama as Eddie has just had a row with them. Also there has been a lot of discussion about who is not at Brookfield and when this week (funeral and fair in Norfolk?).

Gruach · 14/10/2015 10:28

Oooh - smart thinking mummytime!

AskingForAPal · 14/10/2015 11:26

I did wonder what the probability was of Ed's pitiful few cows being nicked when there are fields FULL of cows belonging to neighbouring farmers all around.

BYOSnowman · 14/10/2015 12:04

Stealing geese must surely be way too much hard work to bother with? They're noisy buggers

LillianGish · 14/10/2015 12:16

I find it easier to hear the difference between the geese and the turkeys than between the two Fairbrethren when they are in a scene together. Also can I ask dairyfarmerswife (where is she???) just how easy is it to go into farming. Can just about accept the Fairbrethren coming in cold to farming and buying a load of goslings (surely they must make a few mistakes it can't be that easy can it???) but isn't it a bit of a stretch to go from geese to cattle as discussed last night.
