I'm not sure that ferrets cannot through a thumb sized hole - rats can, and mice can fit through a pen sized hole. But I know the SWs will have researched such a statement carefully

I thought Fallon was definitely flirting... Maybe it's the northern accent she can't resist. We haven't heard from Home Farm this weekend have we, surely Kate's cooking will raise some comment?

They're all dead of food poisoning dfw - except Ruairi who refused to taste even a mouthful of Kate's food and is now the sole inheritor of kitchen, cottages, poly tunnels and all of Brian's tweed jackets.

Re-Jolene, I do think hearing Kenton moaning about his Bstaard Bro day & night must b so dispiriting. Esp. after coming back to the flood
aftermath and the wrecked pub. Everyone has their tipping point, like Linda too.

I can imagine Alan is home-based more than Usha, so he could easily cook during the day while Usha is in the office. I had a relative who was a clergyman and he di have meetings, and visits to people and people dropping by looking for help. But a lot of the time he was ensconced in his study reading and so forth. I am sure Alan could keep an eye on a stew or a pot of soup while he does all that stuff.

I suspect the SW of turning Alan's head with the provider rather than the provision.

It might be an interesting diversion. Actually in TA (rather than AMEX) they have not yet shaken the Vicarage to the core. Though I'd like Alan and Usha to live happily ever after.

I think it is just that Alan sounds like Harrison. So much so they have forgotten who is who. I was confused by them twice lately.

Was the village GP. Shula had an affair with him at the same time as she was going out with Alistair. He was living with Usha at the time.

OMG, I feel old now. My mother posted me Archers updates when I was in Borneo, and it was Shula and Richard's affair. I didn't need reminding just how long ago it was. (Autumn 1998, in case you're struggling to remember.)

I did get news from my actual family as well, but it's actually the Archers storyline I remember...

I do like how this story has just been gently simmering in the background. I'm not sure quite howit will play, but Alastair's absences (mentioned again today) must be part of it.
