It's all getting rather delicious. I feel sorry for Kenton the fool

I don't actually like flashbacks like that. But it was about time he realised.

FatherHenderson · 19/02/2015 19:21

Or a bit King Lear or Macbeth?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 19/02/2015 19:24

Please oh please oh please can we pick up tomorrow with David telling Ruth that he can't sell the farm. What I'm hoping is that she'll explode with rage (literally). Smile

minkGrundy · 19/02/2015 19:31

Only caught the end of that. Will have to LA. But yay. Finally Deevid.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/02/2015 19:31

Oh what happened! Kids still not in bed!

I'm hoping David calls a stop to it and Ruth strops off, divorced him, pip goes too and we never hear from them again

ErrolTheDragon · 19/02/2015 19:32

It wasn't a mere flashback, it was an aural hallucination induced by stress, grief at impending loss and overtiredness.

Emma's planning nice weeds hedgerow flowers was a nice gentle counterpoint to poor old Dave's breakdown.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 19/02/2015 19:33

David was talking to a cow (or possibly a sheep, it was a fairly one-sided conversation) and suddenly he heard Phil's voice explaining to the family why he'd decided to leave the farm to David and Ruth. He ran back to the house, rushed off to the jumble sale with Jill and tried to get back the toy farm. The episode ended with him and Jill going house to house round the village to get it back from the woman who bought it. It was so heavy with symbolism the radio nearly fell off the worktop! Grin

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/02/2015 19:36

Well soc did say he feels like he's channelling Shakespeare

Did they get the toy farm back? Will Ruth finally twig what's going on?

Bluestocking · 19/02/2015 19:36

I'm just LA-ing to the Pancake Day epi. Did you notice that during the whole Jennifer-Mike convo, Talking Heads' is playing? Ho ho!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/02/2015 20:14

Just listened again

See what you mean mimsy!

Couldn't Emma run ambridge organics?

GypsyFloss · 19/02/2015 20:16

Oh that did make me feel quite weepy. It was lovely to hear Phil's voice.

I do hope it all kicks off tomorrow!

enochroot · 19/02/2015 20:22

What a mess David's in now. He's got to call it off but the consequences don't bear thinking about.

Littleturkish · 19/02/2015 20:22

Marking place for when I catch up on Monday- really enjoying it all at the moment and very happy Ed has had some good news.

I hope this week's episodes don't let me down!

ZeroFunDame · 19/02/2015 20:39

While we're all oohing and ahhing over Phil - the production people are rubbing their hands in glee. They've hit on the ideal way to save money on actors and writers - just c and p dialogue from past episodes ...

GypsyFloss · 19/02/2015 20:39

...but the consequences don't bear thinking about.

Proper SATTC stuff. I hope.

cheminotte · 19/02/2015 20:41

Lovely scene with Clarrie and Susan doing the dress. And even a bit of gossip about Helen!

GypsyFloss · 19/02/2015 20:54

Poor old Pat and Tom. It's going to be quite a shock to discover it'll be a grand closing rather than a grand re-opening.

choccyp1g · 19/02/2015 21:04

But who was in the lambing shed? While David and Jill run around buying a toy farm, the real one will fall into chaos.

R4 · 19/02/2015 21:28

Yes, I wondered that too. One minute David is hallucinating because he is so tired because he can't leave the lambs ... and the next minute he is going on a trip with his mummy to find toys.Hmm
It was lovely to hear Phil again.

changeychangechangeychange · 19/02/2015 21:31

emma and fallon want a cheap shop- maybe they will take on the empty ambridge organics- keep the ice cream and sell recycled crap that is
soooo last year lovely

GypsyFloss · 19/02/2015 21:33

BYOS Emma most definitely could run AO.

In fact I think that would be a great way to go... PatnTom can tell Helen that if her heart is not in it then she should resign, her wages will be decreased accordingly , she can earn her 2 quid per wheel of cheese BUT the shop will not be closing on her whim.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/02/2015 21:41

Totally agree gypsy. I can't see pat agreeing with her dense daughter. No doubt rob will be there. They just need to cut Helen out of the business. It will then still be there when she wants to slink back

GypsyFloss · 19/02/2015 21:46

Pat & Tom need to make the point clearly to Rob that it is nowt to do with him either.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/02/2015 22:03

If pat and Tom don't disagree that would be totally out of character

stilllearnin · 19/02/2015 22:31

Oh I saw my dad today. His current view on rob is that he cannot cope outside of the relationship. So with other people he is weird and controlling but never in control. BUT he still thinks he's nice and supportive to Helen Shock I may have to show him our lists. Honestly my dad is nice!!
