This is too much for me now. I need to meditate.

OP posts:

I don't know about revenge fires but do remember a nearby hotel in a historic building which went up in flames shortly after it changed hands. Made the planning application for the interior modernising much easier..........

RumbelowSale · 01/02/2015 12:27

Btw, nice to find you lot hereSmile is this a rolling thread til the 1000 mark is reached? Thanks.

ZeroFunDame · 01/02/2015 13:16

We generally move to the next somewhere in mid to late 900s.

If you go to the TV addicts board you can browse the (highly revered) archive of this thread. There are at least a dozen - all going over 900, generally with astoundingly witty and lengthy titles. The first was Pseudo asking why Lilian didn't just dump her bit on the side. Was glorious.

Enjoy!

ZeroFunDame · 01/02/2015 13:18

(Not suggesting there weren't TA threads before then - but I wasn't on them so they absolutely do not count.Grin )

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 01/02/2015 13:32

Radio Addicts, Zero - but of course we all know the pictures are better on radio, so the confusion is understandable!

PseudoBadger is our thread starter and title giver, and she is always looking for title ideas.

ZeroFunDame · 01/02/2015 13:40

GrinWhat was I thinking?

(Actually was thinking "must go and check if that saucepan is boiling over ...)

Sorry Rumbelow!

nauticant · 01/02/2015 14:04

But atm we have three weddings in prospect. Helen and Rob (won't happen hopefully,) Ed n Emma and now Adam and Ian. It's not ideal. Is nobody in charge of this sort of thing?

But Susan has said twice now that he's "in partnership" with BF re the pigs. Have I misunderstood or has she?confused

Neil is actually in a civil partnership with the pigs ZeroFunDame.

EBearhug · 01/02/2015 14:58

And I'm a bit puzzled about Neil's position. I thought he was employed by Tony Bridge Farm to manage the pig enterprise. But Susan has said twice now that he's "in partnership" with BF re the pigs. Have I misunderstood or has she?

My memory, which may be a bit shaky, is that Tony offered him the job. Susan said something along the lines of, you're worth so much more than just a pigman, go back and renegotiate (cf her conversation with Emma this week about not nagging, but advising husbands of the direction they should be going in.) I think Neil went to talk to Tony, and so it became the management job, and Neil may not have said much more to Susan about it than, "I've spoken to Tony, and I have got a better offer."

Unless it's referring to Neil still raising weaners for Tom? He was doing that, wasn't he?

RumbelowSale · 01/02/2015 15:38

I think this is Soozan-speak. Management position actually means putting yourself in the right place with a board, shouting 'gerron' and steering them in the general direction you want them to go?

As in..she's the Manager of their house. The actual boss is, of course, the Divine NeilSmile

toldmywrath · 01/02/2015 16:14

Trevor (I want to call you TrevTrev) Cake for 'getting' my Boop point point re PC &J'lene.
Just listened to TA omnibus & I was imagining everyones' delight at Hayley-so pleased to see it in black & white on the thread.
Yay to Feebs telling Kate to shut up.

ZeroFunDame · 01/02/2015 16:32

GrinI suspect we all got that BOOP point toldmywrath but the thread was probably moving too fast. It was very funny.

nauticant Why catch me unawares again? I'm still cackling over the "single, cross-platform ... Platonic ideal of a Roy."GrinGrinGrin

PeaceOfWildThings · 01/02/2015 16:36

Was also listening to the omnibus and thinking the same, told. Plus... surely Matt wouldn't just leave like that unless it were to protect Lillian from harm, and that he still loves her, even if she can give up on him after just a fortnight!

Eastpoint · 01/02/2015 16:43

From today's Sunday Times

As another voice actor does a bunk in the night, is he watching them all with the eyeeeeeee .... of the TIGER? Bring back Matt unadulterated to The Archers NOW.
toldmywrath · 01/02/2015 16:56

Are those the sheep of Lakey Hill then Eastpoint ?

toldmywrath · 01/02/2015 16:59

My DD has just completed an assignment about oestrus & how farmers enable their sheep to be up duffed simultaneously, so I like that photo Eastpoint.

nauticant · 01/02/2015 19:11

Will they just put up or shut up about that bloody milk bottle.

Go Pat! Oh, Helen's been "saved" by Rob.

ZeroFunDame · 01/02/2015 19:12

I will kill Rob againAngry.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 01/02/2015 19:13

The hero worship of pip by her parents is creepy

As nd the idiocy of thinking appointing a manager means you can ignore the place is getting annoying

And the constant chit chat about the money and trying to build everyone up before the fall is getting boring

ZeroFunDame · 01/02/2015 19:14

So. Not just the family but every big ticket trader in the UK will collapse when the sale does?

nauticant · 01/02/2015 19:14

Cheers ZeroFunDame, I'm so pleased you see to have a similar sense of humour to me.

enochroot · 01/02/2015 19:17

Rob's a piece of work.

So what Helen's got a lot of on her plate is....
hunting & lunches with Rob.

GypsyFloss · 01/02/2015 19:17

Arghhhhh. Helen.

nauticant · 01/02/2015 19:17

And now it's Gloomsbury. I heard it for the first time last Sunday and it made me larf.

RumbelowSale · 01/02/2015 19:23

Ahhhh, rob'n'hellin, cue for a song....

"You know me so well" or..

Puppet on a string.?

Whatever, in all the general madness of t/a, this bit is building nicely, I reckon

minkGrundy · 01/02/2015 19:25

Can we have something about the main agricultural enterprise in Ambridge being the counting of unhatched chickens in the next thread title?

And Helen really!?!Hmm so busy looking after Henry and Rob and having lovely lunches and going hunting. Really.

Well done Pat for saying but you only have one child who is at nursery!

Sack Tina ffs. There are other managers in the world. Roy? Cathy?
