This is too much for me now. I need to meditate.

I think phoebes tiredness is due to having to sacrifice sleep for schoolwork because her mum keeps wasting her time

toldmywrath · 25/01/2015 18:30

Hello DadDadDad - I thought Tiger might need some spreadsheet assistance with all the wonga he has (I know that your talents lie in the actuarial world, but still...)

DadDadDad · 25/01/2015 18:43

I think Matt's problems are a bit bigger than how to us LOOKUP in Excel.Smile

DadDadDad · 25/01/2015 18:44

*use

BOOP -The tentacles of the soon-to-fail sale. The entire village will be affected in some way.

Broaderband · 25/01/2015 19:11

Why is everyone so sure the sale of Brookfield will fail?

Do you know something??? apart from it being unthinkable and archers without BF

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/01/2015 19:13

Oooh look, a milk round storyline that's being edged in for some reason.

Kenton is so desperate for the money!!!

Has Eddie never been to burns night or do they think we English listeners need an explanation!! Or did they just want a dig at scots cuisine?

Is Charlie turning bunny boiler!! Playing mr totally understanding while being his BFF.

ZeroFunDame · 25/01/2015 19:14

I was quite keen on the idea of D&R building a Northumberland outpost. But everyone says it won't happen - I'be been persuaded.

ZeroFunDame · 25/01/2015 19:15

I've been ...

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/01/2015 19:17

And are we to believe all Scotsman play the bagpipes and read rabbie burns. From my understanding of the bagpipes they are quite difficult to get sounding nice and even harder when you're drunk!!

Matt wouldn't have been able to totally clear her out as she would have a lot of investments in her name from her husband. He may have cleared the business account and joint account but I do not believe for a second her independent wealth was so easily shared.

choccyp1g · 25/01/2015 19:28

Jazzed has always had a musical side, he was in the band with Ed and Fallon. And sung a beautiful folk song at a talent show a few years back.

Halsall · 25/01/2015 19:32

Am I wrong in thinking that Matt was disqualified from being a company director, after his spell in the clink? And Lil had to be the official front woman when they set up in business, I seem to recall. So how could he have had access to the company account, much less cleared it out?

Puzzled.

guineapiglet · 25/01/2015 19:34

A Burns night WITHOUT Jazzer?!?!?!

The final straw.

SmileGrinSadWinkBiscuitAngryBlush
EnvyConfusedHmm

I enjoyed doing that.

How long before Adam and the lithe legged Charlie are at it again???

choccyp1g · 25/01/2015 19:35

I don't suppose the actor got paid for "playing" the pipes. If they lose Jazzer, they lose me after about 50 years listening.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/01/2015 19:43

Yes that's true about jazzer. Was crap that they couldn't give the one Scot a speaking role.

Re matt being disqualified - agree that he shouldn't have been able to access the accounts but Lillian probably gave him access so he could transfer. Still a load of old crap mind you.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 25/01/2015 20:20

Lilian probably had all the passwords written on a piece of paper in the office drawer.

What a load of old toot. I'm Scottish and I can confirm that hardly any Scots can play the bagpipes, never mind expat Scots who haven't set foot in God's Own Country since they were toddlers. (I'm not counting that brief trip to the Festival in a camper van with Harry and Fallon on AmEx.)

Angry Hmm

LillianGish · 25/01/2015 20:26

I will say that the way this storyline is both written and acted is definitely one of the best things about TA at the moment. It makes it all the more frustrating when they put so little effort into other storylines and cast such poor actors as NewPip. I so totally agree and think I wrote something very similar a few weeks (threads) back. It's hard to believe the HelRob storyline is the product of the same person who came up with the ridiculous charade that is the Brookfield move. The worrying thing is if you read Sock's blog he seems surprised that listeners are reading so much into the HelRob story which makes me think that any good writing there is more by accident than design. I would go so far as to say I hope it is Sock who falls in the slurry pit - if I could believe such a thing even existed anymore. The constant melodrama has rendered Ambridge entirely unbelievable for me. Matt's departure is the final insult - TA has been well and truly EastEndered. If it weren't for this thread I'd give up entirely (Flowers Pseudo) Zero I won't give up if you don't!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/01/2015 20:28

If he left as a toddler how did he get such a strong accent?

If he has totally cleared her out it will be another stupid and pointless way if showing yet more 'why you shouldn't write a will based on the status quo'

No soc that isn't clever and no we are not that dumb that we didn't all point it out at the time. And the archers isn't a ruddy public education programme.

The bits where they are talking about farming, whilst welcome, are done like a 1950's infomercial.

Can you imagine what a dreadful husband soc would make? He's dob loose obvious

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/01/2015 20:30

That should say

He is so bloody obvious

Feeling cross!!!

LillianGish · 25/01/2015 20:31

Too lazy to write some scenes for Jazzer - thought he could substitute him with the bagpipes.

LillianGish · 25/01/2015 20:33

Sorry Boop I'm struggling to find anything to BOOP about Sad

LillianGish · 25/01/2015 20:35

Wait I've got one - Dramatic irony of Ian and Charlie agreeing to let bygones be bygones when we know the cat is already out of the bag. (Phew)

GypsyFloss · 25/01/2015 20:35

I actually felt a bit sorry for Charlie tonight . He sounded a bit vulnerable and although he and Adam think they've sorted it all out I just know Rob will be in there stirring as soon as he can.

What would happen if Brookfield burnt down? No farm for the Dopeys to sell, no payout for the sibs, the insurance would pay out at current prices which may be lower than normal due the imminent road.

EBearhug · 25/01/2015 20:40

Sock isn't actually the writer though - it could be that some of the writers actually know what they're doing.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/01/2015 20:43

If Brookfield burnt down je would still buy it at a knockdown price. He just wants the house but that can be easily rebuilt to his exact specifications (probably easier than renovating)
